A Tribe Called Red performs at Port City Music Hall tonight

What up, Monday?! For all of you looking to blow off a little bit of Monday steam this evening, here’s what’s crackin’ all around town, including Lucas Roy at Andy’s Old Port Pub, another Mothership Monday with Andrew Bailie & Friends at Portland House of Music and Events, Inanna Sisters in Rhythm at Slates, and more. Here we go!


Inanna Sisters in Rhythm will be performing at Slates in Hallowell this evening. Inanna’s music comprises traditional world songs and rhythms from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and other indigenous cultures. Check out their live show as things begin at 8:15pm.

Local jam band Hambone will be hosting an open jam tonight at Easy Street Lounge. Tonight they welcome any and all musicians to join them for some musical merriment as this free shindig gets swinging at 9 o’clock.


Local pop-rock musician Michael Krapovicky returns to Pedro O’Hara’s to host another open mic event. Join in on the musical revelry as this all ages gathering gets underway around 6:30pm.


Local indie pop singer-songwriter Lucas Roy will be live at Andy’s Old Port Pub this Monday evening. Roy draws his influences from such artists as John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Jason Mraz, and James Bay. This free, all-ages show will start at 7pm

Mothership Mondays with Andrew Bailie & Crew continue tonight at Portland House of Music and Events. Get down with Bailie and friends as they funk up your Monday with some super fun jams starting at 9pm.

Juno Award-winning Canadian DJ collective, A Tribe Called Red, known for their genre-bending mix of EDM, hip-hop, and First Nations traditions, will be at Port City Music Hall tonight. This 18+ show starts at 9pm.

Work it out at Flask Lounge in Portland with DJs Zimbra, Doomsday J, and Foxy as they present another Primary Dance Party. The trio will be celebrating the leading ladies of post-punk, synthpop and New Wave as tonight’s free dance party gets bumping right around 9 o’clock.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
