The Maine Songwriters’ Association monthly music series, Songwriters on Stage, continues tonight at Frontier in Brunswick. The event showcases some of the brightest songwriters in the state coming together to share their original compositions and stories. This month’s event features three seasoned performers alongside an emerging songwriter to kick the evening off. It’s an opportunity for listeners to discover new music as well as hear local favorites in one of the best listening rooms in Maine. Tonight’s concert gets started at 7 and will feature performances by Ashley Storrow, Lisa Redfern, Nat Hussey, and Jud Caswell, who will be hosting the event.
David Beam & Friends will be serving up some down-home, acoustic roots tunes to wind down your Wednesday with over at Andy’s Old Port Pub. The local act will get things rolling along right around 7 o’clock.
Irish Night at Blue continues this Wednesday with a featured performance by The Press Gang. The Press Gang matches the ferocious squeezebox-fiddle duo of Junior Stevens and Alden Robinson with Owen Marshall’s acclaimed accompaniment. The result is a sweet, driving sound that you can check out for yourself as the music starts up tonight at 7:30pm.
Local folk artist Dave Rowe will be performing at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight. Join Rowe for some rollicking good times as this free show gets underway at 8pm
Add some folk-pop to your midweek plans with the Dapper Gents Duo as this talented pair returns to the stage of RiRa for another free show that starts up at 9.
Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza welcomes local instrumentalist and vocalist Seth Warner to the stage for a free performance filled with blues, country, folk, re-imagined jazz and songbook standards. Don’t miss out on the fun as things get underway at 7 o’clock.
Bess Berg and Company bring some midweek musical merriment to the Frog and Turtle this evening. Starting at 7:30 make some plans to stop in and enjoy an evening of jazz piano paired with bass, sax, and drums during this free all-ages event.
