Boils & Ghouls get down at Portland House of Music with Gina & The Red Eye Flight Crew


If you didn’t get your full dose of seasonal mayhem in this weekend, then ready yourself for round two as Halloween takes on this Monday with a monstrous fury. Here are all the party spots for you ghosts, ghouls and goblins!


A Monday night monster mash goes down at the Top O’ The Ninth in Fryeburg tonight as punk rock and rollers Jug and USA Waste team up to get your bones rattling this Halloween evening with some tunes that’ll get crankin’ right around 9 o’clock.


Pop-rock musician Michael Krapovicky returns to host another free Open Mic at Pedro O’Hara’s this Halloween eve. Join in on the musical revelry as this all ages event gets underway around 6:30pm.


Andy’s welcomes back Portland-based contemporary bluegrass band Cumberland Crossing for an early evening of bustling bluegrass music. Tonight’s free show gets kickin’ around 7.

Boils and ghouls will be getting down tonight during another Funky Monday featuring Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew at Portland House of Music and Events. The band, which is basically most of the members of Model Airplane, back up talented songstress Gina Alibrio for some funk, soul and R&B jams that are guaranteed to cause some mischief out on the dance floor. Bust out some monster moves as things get underway at 9 o’clock.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am.
