Tonight the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield welcomes legendary musician Duke Levine and his band to the stage. Guitarist Duke Levine is a masterful side man playing for the likes of Peter Wolf and J. Geils Band, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Aimee Mann, Shawn Colvin, and countless singer songwriters like John Gorka, Ellis Paul, Slaid Cleaves and Catie Curtis. The list could go on and on, but his solo projects are where you’ll really find the genius and soul of this amazing guitarist and artist. Tonight he’ll be joined by roots rocker Dennis Brennan who will open the evening with a set beginning at 8.
Vinyl Tap will be partying down this finally Friday up at The Rack. Vinyl Tap is known for making people bust a move to their awesomely danceable cover tunes that vary from everything such as The Beatles, Huey Lewis, Cee Lo Green, Stevie Wonder, The Dead and many, many more. Welcome the weekend with The Boneheads up at The Kennebec Wharf in Hallowell this Friday. The local act, which has become famous for their unpredictable, impressively musical shows, which often feature band members switching instruments, powerfully dynamic arrangements, and occasionally even hilarious polka versions of tunes, will take to the stage right around 9, so swing through and groove out if you’re in the area tonight.

Concert artist and teacher Duncan Cumming joins violinist Hilary Walther Cumming and cellist Şölen Dickener tonight as their Capital Trio returns to the Gendron Franco Center to present the fourth recital of the Center’s 10th Piano Series season. The all-Beethoven program will begin at 7 o’clock.
Portland folk-rock act Sea for Miles will be bringing their songs to the stage of Guthries tonight. The musical collaboration between Matt and Michael McInnis will be performing a free show starting at 8pm.

Oh man, if you’re looking to relive your emo/pop-punk days of yore, then I suggest you make some plans to check out tonight’s all-ages show at the Asylum. Starting at 6 you can take in tunes from Hawthorne Heights, The Ataris (Dudes, I was obsessed with this band when I was 16…), Mest, Handguns and London Falling. All the side-swept bangs, teen anthems and tight pants your little heart could ever desire, so check it out.
Folk singer-songwriter Calen Perkins is back from a month-long tour through the south, and will be joined by his favorite musicians for a homecoming show at Blue. His 5-piece band includes drums, bass, fiddle, keyboard and vocal harmonies. Things get started up at 6 and will also feature a set from Hannah Daman and the Martelles.
Take in some toe-tapping Americana tunes from Hilton Park tonight as the band plays a free, all-ages show at Andy’s starting up at 7pm.
This year, Popa Chubby, who was born Ted Horowitz, marks twenty five years of rocking the blues. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his soulful playing has never been more powerful.
