Enjoy some lunchtime tunes as Market Square Park in Augusta hosts local act The Veayo Twins Trio for a free, all-ages show this Friday afternoon. Starting at 11 grab some grub and check out the band’s unique original tunes, which span genres such as country, pop, rock, jazz and more during this fun finally Friday event.
The Gin Mill in Augusta welcomes back local folk-rocker Brian Patricks. Patricks intertwines finger-style, rhythmic guitar with a hint of harmonica into his sets of originals and covers that span the folk, blues, roots and rock genres. Check out Patricks’ solo set as this free all-ages show begins at 7:30.
Check out an evening of original Maine made music tonight at Central Gallery in Bangor as they welcome some indie electro-folk, psychedelic rock and roll, and ambient electro-beats from Quantum, Earth Person and Jeff Beam. This all ages show will begin at 7:30pm.
Central Maine rock cover band Dakota will be bringing the thunder to the stage of the Penobscot Pour House as they play songs from such acts as Bon Jovi, Shinedown, Bush, Aerosmith, Journey, Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, and more beginning at 9pm.
The Midnight Riders bring some soul, funk, Americana, roots, blues, and rock n’ roll tunes to Paddy Murphy’s in Bangor tonight. Join these fun fellas for some musical merriment as things get underway at 9:30.
Enjoy an acoustic evening of cover songs and original music with local singer-songwriter Ric Roy as he returns to Champions tonight for a free show that starts at 6pm.
The High Spirits are hoping to raise yours with some roots and country tunes at Elements in Biddeford tonight. The band will be gathering for a free all ages performance as music starts up right around 8pm.
Called “the finest rock songwriter after Dylan and the best electric guitarist since Hendrix” by the Los Angeles Times and named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of All Time, Richard Thompson is also one of the world’s most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters and tonight you can see him perform live at the Boothbay Opera House. This all-ages show will get underway at 7:30pm.
The Mainely Country Band, a four-piece country and country rock band with over 60 years of experience in the musical entertainment business, will be getting their twang on at Crystal Falls in Chelsea this evening. Join these fellas for some serious boot scootin’ as things start up at 9 o’clock.

Central Maine soul, funk and jazz act Boogie Mob will be doing it to it up at Easy Street Lounge in Hallowell this Friday evening. Join in on the free fun as tonight’s 21+ dance party gets shaking at 9 o’clock.
Welcome the weekend with The Boneheads up at The Kennebec Wharf in Hallowell this Friday. The local act, which has become famous for their unpredictable, impressively musical shows, which often feature band members switching instruments, powerfully dynamic arrangements, and occasionally even hilarious polka versions of tunes, will take to the stage right around 9, so swing through and groove out if you’re in the area tonight.
Train’s Tavern welcomes local cover act Illusion to the stage tonight. Starting at 8 you can expect some high energy rock and roll with covers from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today, with a little country mixed in.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH
Kilcollins will be pop-rockin’ out on the patio of the Brunswick in Old Orchard Beach this afternoon. Starting at 2 o’clock these fellas will be busting out all sorts of tunes that you know and love alongside some catchy original numbers. This show is free and sure to be a fun way to spend your Friday afternoon so check it out if you’re hanging by the beach today.
Tonight electro-pop rock act Dean Ford & The Keepsakes will be rockin’ Mr. Goodbar in Old Orchard Beach. This show is free and is guaranteed to be chock full of pulsating beats, infections hooks, screaming synths, shredding guitar, and soaring singalongs as things get swinging at 7.
JJ’s Eatery in OOB welcomes back local singer-songwriter Ron Bergeron for a night of tunes. Ron will be serving up tons of great songs starting at 7pm including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and maybe even a little Lady Gaga. If you’re in the area be sure to stop by and check out some good times and good tunes during this free and fun show.
The Brunswick in Old Orchard Beach is the place to be for another fun-filled Friday featuring dance-pop cover act Tickle. Things get shaking at 8:30 with a party mix of some of the best music from today as well as some classic retro funk from yesterday that is guaranteed to get you shaking it out on the dance floor.
Portland House of Music and Events offers up some Happy Hour music for you to check out this finally Friday as the talented musicians of the Sweet Maxwell Sullivan Trio take over the patio starting at 4 with some stellar instrumental jams.

Long is the Walk, the solo project of Boston-based cellist, singer-songwriter and composer Jeremy Harman, will be performing at Blue this evening. Check out Harman’s hauntingly hypnotic collection of songs and virtuosic instrumentals starting at 6pm.
South Carolina country star Lee Brice returns to Maine tonight for a show out at the Maine State Pier. Brice will be bringing his mix of pop, rock, and retro honky tonk to the stage alongside special guests Jillian Cardarelli and Jon King. This all ages show starts up at 6 o’clock.
If you’re out and about downtown this evening swing on over to Portland Lobster Company where alternative rock band, Now is Now, will be performing out on the deck. This free all ages show will get going right around 7 o’clock.
The brass-fueled swinging jazz band known as The Soggy Po’ Boys will be bringing the good times and good tunes to Blue tonight. Join this act for some serious Friday night fun as the music starts at 8 o’clock.
Jazz artist Viva will be bringing her vivacious vocals to The Dogfish Bar & Grille for a Friday filled with funk, jazz standards, soul songs and Latin tunes that are done alongside her talented band with a fun and modern twist. The band uses instruments from the past to make music from the future. It is said that “To a deaf person, they look like a New Orleans dixieland street band. To a blind person, they sound like a rave DJ mashing-up house beats with 60’s folk lyrics.” Take in their tunes for yourself as things start up at 9 o’clock.
Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland hosts another free dance party for this month’s round of Foundation Friday. Every second Friday of the month you can join Mr. Dereloid and some special guests for an entire evening of the finest underground dance music around; this funky, fresh Friday night par-tay gets underway right around 9 o’clock.
Powerhouse vocalist known for her blue-eyed soul, Adele, gets the tribute treatment tonight as Rachel Doe fronts a band of talented players to bring the singer’s music to life during Empire’s Tribute 2 Adele. Tonight’s show starts upstairs at 9pm.
If you’re into The Replacements and indie punk rock and/or roll then tonight’s show at Port City Music Hall is for you as they invite Philly trio Beach Slang to the stage. Pop-rock trio Potty Mouth and The 1984 Draft will kick off tonight’s 18+ show with opening sets starting at 9 o’clock.
Local act the Marshall Nelson Trio will be bringing their fun live show filled with funky covers of such notable acts as the Spin Doctors, Sublime, Lorde, Police, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, George Michael, The Beatles and even some original tunes to the patio of Amigos in the Old Port tonight. Join these talented gents for a Friday full of fun as this free 21+ show starts up around 9:30pm.
Local four-piece cover act, Fighting Fiction will be providing the perfect soundtrack for your Friday night with a wide variety of material from all kinds of genres including modern pop, rock, alternative, country, classic rock and more. The band will be doing it to it with a free show starting at 9:30 at Bull Feeney’s.
Local pop-rock cover act The Nikki Hunt Band will be bringing the party to Mixers in Sabattus this finally Friday. Covering artists such as Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett, Bruce Springsteen, Sublime, No Doubt, The Doors, U2 and many more there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone. Tonight’s performance will also include a colorful hula hoop act so be sure to check it out starting at 8:30pm.
Live at 212 in Westbrook will be rocking and rolling once again with the heavy-hitting sounds of acts Arta’sin, Brand New Day, Mile 22, Dirty Rotten Winter, Hogan’s Alley, Enlightened Strangelink and No Hugs. This rager gets rockin’ right around 7pm and rolls on all night long.
And don’t forget that starting at 8:30 you can check out some tasty eats and equally tasty tunes at The Frog & Turtle on Main Street in Westbrook where Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies return to take over the joint with their own brand of unique and entertaining Americana and rockabilly.
