I’m a terrible liar so therefore I’m just going to be straight up with you guys and let you know that Monday was a bit of a mess for me. I don’t really feel like I accomplished much of anything and what I did do was overshadowed by my own inability to not be completely, absurdly awkward around other human beings sooo I’m just gonna chalk that one up to residual wet brain from the weekend and do all I can to bring my true A Game to tonight. This evening’s shaping up to be quite the party, so shimmy into those Party Jorts and get down on it this Tuesday at such shows as Ed DesJardins at Drummore Bay Concert Hall, Ryan Halliburton & The Still at Portland Lobster Company, Joseph Eid at Andy’s Old Port Pub, Clara Junken at Blue, Open Mic with Uke n’ Smile at Sea Dog Brewing Company, Summer Nadya at Mainely Brews and more.
Pop-rock and rollers Alex Roy and Matt Libby will be performing a set of original tunes and cover songs at Champions tonight. This event is free and sure to be fun so swing through if you’re in the area this Tuesday as the music starts up at 9 o’clock.

Self-proclaimed Sasquatch of Soul, Lyle Divinsky, returns to do his thing out on the patio of Portland House of Music and Events this evening. Starting at 4 Lyle and a couple of pals will be laying down some seriously smooth funk, soul, and R&B jams during this free, all-ages show.
Fat Knuckle Freddy is back at Blue this Tuesday evening. Freddy is a local composer, instrumentalist and a songwriter who plays and writes American Primitive Music on cigar box, resonator, Weissenborn, acoustic, and fretless guitars. Check out this fun night of of music as things get started up right around 7 o’clock.
Check out The Thirsty Pig’s monthly Open Mic event, The Exchange. The Exchange is a gathering that’s open to any and all artists looking to collaborate, showcase, and workshop their own original material in front of an audience of peers and music-lovers alike. Lo-fi pop duo Best Coast bring their tunes inspired by the sounds of ‘60s surf rock and girl groups to the stage of Port City Music Hall tonight. This sweet show will feature an opening set from Pennsylvania based ambient-electro/shoegaze act The Stargazer Lilies starting at 8 o’clock.
Empire’s summer music series Rhythm & Tues rolls on tonight with house band Class Reunion. The band features a ton of talented local players performing a bunch of fun throwback funk, blues, and R&B covers so bust out those Party Jorts and get down upstairs starting at 9 o’clock.
90’s cover band Ice Cold Zima will be rockin’ their regular Tuesday night gig at Portland House of Music and Events. Travel back to a time of JNCO jeans, bucket hats, and bowl cuts with some cover tunes of No Doubt, Fiona Apple, The Cardigans, 4 Non Blondes, Green Day, Lauryn Hill, Bonnie Raitt, Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis Morissette, and more as things get jumpin’ right around 9.
Flask Lounge hosts another Open Mic for DJs with a free dance party that encourages up and coming record spinners and producers to take a chance and get up on the tables during this fun event. All you need to bring are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome. Tonight’s DJ open mic begins at 9pm.

Bull Feeney’s acoustic Open Mic night with local folk-pop artist Jacob McCurdy continues tonight. Join in on the creative fun as Jacob invites any and all musicians to the stage to perform beginning at 9:30.
