Check out Black Cat Road at the Portland Lobster Company tonight

It’s only the beginning of the week and I already have Friday on my mind. I think it’s best if we just choose to disregard the fact that it is Monday and move towards a more fun and upbeat direction by discussing how tonight has plenty of great things to do to help blow away those Monday blues. Let’s just suck it up and have some fun tonight at such shows as Sam Shain at The Porthole, Gina & The Red Eye Flight Crew at Portland House of Music, Monday of the Minds at Flask Lounge, Open Mic with Michael Krapovicky at Pedro O’Hara’s and more!

If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this Monday, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s where local pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky will be hosting another installment of his weekly acoustic Open Mic event. Tonight’s free event gets underway at 6:30 and is open to all, so grab an instrument and get ready to make some music and new friends tonight!

Check out Sam Shain out on the deck of The Porthole tonight. Sam will be funking things up with some well-known covers and awesome originals as this free Monday evening party gets underway right around 6 o’clock.

Black Cat Road is back at Portland Lobster Company this evening. The act will be lighting up the outdoor deck with their funky, soulful and rootsty blues tunes as tonight’s free event gets underway right around 6:30pm.

Folk-rock singer-songwriter Nat Hussey returns to the stage of Andy’s Old Port Pub this evening for a night of songs and stories that will start up right around 7 o’clock.

Get after it tonight with another Funky Monday featuring Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew at Portland House of Music and Events. The band, which is basically most of the members of Model Airplane, back up this talented songstress for some funk, soul and R&B jams that are guaranteed to please as the good times get rollin’ right around 9.

Monday of the Minds presents Visitor 10 and BusyBars at Flask Lounge tonight. Chatham The SUN and Mr. Ridiculous will also be rocking sets tonight. Live painting by Alexandra Busa will be happening as the show goes on, and an open mic will take place before the sets for any of you hungry rappers. Check out a great night of hip hop and good vibes as this free show starts up at 9.
