Alright, I know that today is one of the most overrated, bloated, made-up corporate holidays known to man that basically exists to make everyone feel awkward, obligated, and often times extremely lonely, but there’s no reason for any of that because there are plenty of things happening around town for you to indulge in either with a sweetheart or by yourself. Be your own damn Valentine; consume massive amounts of chocolate, put some flowers in your hair, and buy yourself a fancy cocktail somewhere nice before heading out to one or all of these V-Day events. Let’s Love…whether we want to or not! Here we go! Check out tunes such as Mike Maurice at Crooners & Cocktails, Frank Fotusky at Blue, Alex Roy at Champions, an open mic with Uke n’ Smile at Sea Dog Brewing Company, and more.
Sparks The Rescue front man Alex Roy goes solo and acoustic tonight for a show at Champions. Beginning at 9 you can stop through and check out some of Roy’s pop-rock jams as he plays a free set of songs this evening.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am.
