Check out Empire’s Three for 3 with 10801, Acadia & Buddusky tonight

So it seems as though we made it through Monday unscathed and have settled nicely into Tuesday. Let’s make some moves and party it out at some of these awesome happenings that are taking place all around town and beyond tonight. Here’s what’s the what for your evening festivities, including Kate Schrock at Blue, Ronda Dale at Andy’s, Jordan Kaulback at the Matterhorn Ski Bar, Richard Wood & Gordon Belcher at One Longfellow Square, and more!


If you’re up at the Loaf make some plans to stop by The Rack as local artist Jeff Kilton will be taking to the stage for a show featuring the songs of such artists as Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, The Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, The Band, Led Zep, Bob Marley and more. Tonight’s free show begins at 5pm.


Pedro O’Hara’s welcomes back local singer-songwriter Ron Bergeron. Ron will be serving up tons of tunes starting at 7 including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and many, many more. If you’re hanging in the area tonight make some plans to swing through and have some fun at this free show.


Maine based singer-songwriter Jordan Kaulback will be guitar slingin’, piano playin’ and singin’ at The Matterhorn Ski Bar tonight. Things get underway at 5 during this free show.


Local singer-songwriter Kate Schrock will be playing at Blue this evening. Schrock has shared the stage with artists such as Taj Mahal, Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones, Wayne Kramer of MC5, The Bodeans, Stephen Stills, and more. Check out her solo performance as things get underway at 6 tonight.

Another free and all ages show happens at Andy’s Old Port Pub as they welcome back local singer-songwriter Ronda Dale to the stage for an acoustic performance that will begin at 7pm.

Richard Wood and Gordon Belcher will be teaming up for a full evening of music and stories at One Longfellow Square this evening. The pair will be blending vocals, guitar and fiddle to fill the joint with laughter, tears and top notch musicianship. Check out tonight’s all ages event as things get underway right around 7 o’clock.

Blue welcomes back the Kelly Laurence Quintet for another Tuesday evening of jazz tunes. This show gets underway at 8 o’clock.

Check out tonight’s Open DJ Night happening at Flask Lounge.  Starting at 9 you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open decks. All you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones. This event is free and always a good time so go on and check it out.

Empire’s Three for 3 series continues tonight with 10801, Acadia and Buddusky. Get your fill of some awesome, live and local indie rock and roll as tonight’s $3 show starts upstairs at 9.


Local acoustic act Uke n’ Smile is back at Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland for another free, all-ages open mic event. All genres of music, musicians of varying skills, capabilities, and ages are welcome to join in on the fun as the music starts at 8pm.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
