All right, here we are at the half way point to the freakin’ weekend, if we can hurdle this hump we’re guaranteed to make it through this home stretch. Per usual, there are a ton of things to keep you happy and hurdlin’ tonight, so bust out your mid-week Party Pants and get things going at such shows as Ben Kilcollins at the Matterhorn Ski Bar, Red-Eyed Fox at Blue, The Dapper Gents Duo at RiRa and more!
Jazz up your midweek happenings by checking out this week’s Live in the Lounge event featuring LQH at Frontier in Brunswick. Locally based guitarist Dave Jacquet will be hosting another free Open Mic event at Cole Farms in Gray this Wednesday. Starting at 7 o’clock all musicians are welcome to join in on the fun and jam on stage with Dave and a few of his friends, so grab your guitar and let the creative energy flow!
Also making your mid-week rock a little more will be local singer-songwriter Ben Kilcollins who will be busting out some tunes starting right around 5 o’clock at the Matterhorn Ski Bar. Ben is not only a super nice dude, but also a super skilled songwriter whose tunes are guaranteed to please even the most discerning of earholes. This evening’s show is free so stop by and treat yourself to some pleasant sounds if you’re in the area this Wednesday evening.

This talented pair will be making some sounds that pair perfectly with an ice cold pint starting right around 8pm, so swing on by and check them out if you’re in the downtown area tonight.
If you’re looking for to tap your toes to some some down-home, acoustic roots tunes tonight then look no further than Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in downtown Portland where local act David Beam and The Custom House Gang will be playing a free show starting at 8 o’clock.
Indie folk and pop singer-songwriter Ezra Furman headlines tonight’s show at Port City Music Hall as he brings his raw, deep and achingly sentimental songs to life. If you’re looking to get down to some local hip-hop this evening then scoot on over to the Asylum for Rap Night! Tonight hosts Ill by Instinct and El Shupacabra welcome some talented local emcees to the stage for an all-original showcase of heavy hitting rap tunes.
