Lyle will be serenading you from 4 to 7 so be sure to stop through and enjoy some killer tunes in the summer sun.
Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up for an evening of stories and song during an In The Round event at Blue tonight. Starting at 6 Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis converge on stage for a show featuring their original roots, Americana, and folk compositions.
Local singer-songwriter Connor Garvey will be bringing his soulful, acoustic folk-rock to the deck of the Portland Lobster Company this afternoon. Check out Connor and a few of his friends as they start making noise right around 6:30.
The Kevin Midgley Players return to Andy’s Old Port Pub with some Americana and Delta blues tunes. Join them for some good times, good tunes, and good brews as this free show starts up at 7.
Denver’s Primitive Man makes music that matches their name: a nihilistic blend of brutal death metal, deviant noise, and primeval doom. Tonight they bring the some skull-crushing thunder to the stage of SPACE Gallery on Congress Street. Joining Primitive Man on during this all ages show will be genre-defying act Cult Leader, the brooding hardcore of Of Feather & Bone, and the pitch-black riffs of Portland’s own Sylvia. Things get wicked heavy starting at 8.
Blue welcomes back the Kelly Laurence Quartet to the stage for an evening of Frank Sinatra tunes. Tonight’s show gets underway at 8 o’clock.
Another Open DJ Night is happening at Flask Lounge tonight. Starting at 9, you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open decks. All you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones. This event is absolutely free and always a good time, so go on and check it out.
90’s cover band Ice Cold Zima will be rockin’ their regular Tuesday night gig at Portland House of Music and Events. Time travel back a couple decades or so with some cover tunes of No Doubt, Fiona Apple, The Cardigans, 4 Non Blondes, Green Day, Lauryn Hill, Bonnie Raitt, Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis Morissette, and more as things get jumpin’ right around 9.
Empire’s summer music series Rhythm & Tues rolls on tonight with house band The Class Reunion. The band features a ton of talented local players performing a bunch of fun throwback funk, blues, and R&B covers so bust out those Party Jorts and get down upstairs starting at 9 o’clock.
Show off your musical prowess at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight as local musician Jacob McCurdy returns to host this week’s Open Mic. If you’re a musician looking to play out at local bars, you should sign up and show off your skills as you could actually book yourself a paying gig at Bull Feeney’s — if you’ve got the right stuff, baby! Tonight’s open mic gets underway at 9:30 and is absolutely free, so get up there and strut your stuff on stage.
