The Red Barn in Augusta welcomes back talented, local act, The Veayo Twins Trio for a free, all-ages show this Wednesday afternoon. Starting at 5 you can check out the band’s unique original tunes, which span genres such as country, pop, rock, jazz and more.
Pop-rock and rollers Alex Roy and Matt Libby will be performing a set of original tunes and cover songs at Champions tonight. This event is free and sure to be fun so swing through if you’re in the area this Tuesday as the music starts up at 9 o’clock.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH
Self-proclaimed Sasquatch of Soul, Lyle Divinsky will be doing his thing at Portland House of Music this evening. Starting at 5, Lyle will be laying down some seriously smooth funk, soul and R&B during this free show.
Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up for an evening of stories and song during an In The Round event at Blue tonight. Starting at 6 Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis converge on stage for a show featuring their original roots, Americana, and folk compositions.
Get this Tuesday evening started with a free show over at Portland Lobster Company as Ryan Halliburton and The Still bring some pop-rock tunes to the deck during a free all ages show that starts up at 6:30pm.
Andy’s Old Port Pub welcomes acoustic Americana and roots rock artist Bob Funck tonight for a free, all-ages show that’ll start up at 7 o’clock.
Blue welcomes back the Kelly Laurence Quartet for another Tuesday evening of jazz tunes. This show gets underway at 8 o’clock.
90’s cover band Ice Cold Zima will be rockin’ their regular Tuesday night gig at Portland House of Music and Events. Time travel back a couple decades with some cover tunes of No Doubt, Fiona Apple, The Cardigans, 4 Non Blondes, Green Day, Lauryn Hill, Bonnie Raitt, Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis Morissette, and more as things get jumpin’ right around 9.
Flask Lounge is ready for yet another Open Mic for DJs with their free dance party which allows up and coming record spinners to take a chance and get up on the tables during this fun event. All you need to bring are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome. Tonight’s DJ open mic begins right around 9 so check it out.
Rhythm & Tues, the Empire’s new summer music series, rolls on tonight with local act the Class Reunion. The band features a ton of talented local players performing a bunch of fun throwback funk, blues, and R&B covers. The party starts at 9 o’clock.
Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile returns to Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland for another Open Mic this Tuesday evening. All artists of different skills and genres are welcome as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 8.
Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
