We’ve successfully made it through another Monday, which means it is time to go full throttle into Tuesday night. Get ready to put the pedal to the metal and get down on it this evening. Here’s what’s the what all around town and beyond, including Los Galactacos at Drummore Bay Concert Hall, Ryan Halliburton and The Still at Portland Lobster Company, Luniere at Blue, Ben Kilcollins at Easy Day, Pat Foley at Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza, and more.
Local pop-rock artist Alex Roy will be performing a set of original tunes and cover songs at Champions. Tonight’s event is free and sure to be a good time so swing through if you’re in the area as the music starts up at 9.
Local musical group, Los Galactacos, comprised of adventuring string-benders, strummers, pickers, and percussionists exploring an atlas of music styles and songs, will be performing at the Drummore Bay Concert Hall in Phippsburg tonight. Los Galactacos repertoire includes Tex/Mex folk, Appalachian string music; Canadian Maritimes fiddle tunes, the Classic American Songbook, ol’ time Country, and more. Check them out as things get underway at 7.
Texas native Joel Thetford will be playing on the rooftop of Bayside Bowl this evening for a Tuesday featuring his original country and Americana compositions. Since relocating to Portland, Joel has become a fixture in the songwriting community and has shared the stage with such acts as The Mallett Brothers Band, North of Nashville, Jake Hill & Deep Creek, Joe Gallant & the Transit, Diesel Doug and the Long Haul Truckers, and many more. See him for yourself as things get underway at 6.
The Porthole welcomes back Dan Merrill to the deck this evening for a set that’ll feature a variety of acoustic rock, pop and folk covers and originals. Tonight’s show is free and starts up at 6 o’clock.
Check out a free show with Ryan Halliburton and The Still out on the Portland Lobster Company deck tonight. This awesome local act will be bringing some fun pop-rock tunes to your Tuesday as things get underway at 6:30pm.
Blue welcomes Luniere to the stage this Tuesday evening. Songwriters Calen Perkins, Jason Roman and Geoff Zimmerman draw from their wide range of musical tastes to collaborate under the name Luniere on original songs that showcase vocal harmonies, pop, rock and folk influences. This evening’s performance will begin at 7pm.
Local musician Rexy Dinosaur returns with saxophone in claws to Blue tonight. Rexy will be joined by a couple pals on guitar and percussion the trio brings you a mix of blues, hip hop and jazz beginning at 9 o’clock.
Check out tonight’s Open DJ Night happening at Flask Lounge. Starting at 9 you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open decks. All you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones. This event is free so go on and check it out.

Ben Kilcollins is back at Easy Day tonight for a set of acoustic sounds. You know Ben from his time spent fronting local pop-rock act, Kilcollins, but this evening he goes solo for some fun cover tunes and original songs starting right around 6 during this free and family-friendly event.
Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile returns to the Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland tonight for another open mic. All artists of different skill levels and genres are welcome as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 8.
Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza welcomes Pat Foley for some acoustic country-rock. If you’re in the area tonight make some plans to drop by as the music starts up at 7.
Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
