Local piano-driven rock n’ roll act Kris Rodgers and The Dirty Gems will be dropping their latest release titled ‘Losing Frequency’ at Empire in Portland. Known as “rock n’ roll’s secret weapon”, Kris ‘Fingers’ Rodgers has been a recording and touring sideman in such garage rock and power pop acts sd The Connection, Scott Sorry, The New Trocaderos, Bullet Proof Lovers, and Kurt Baker Band for years. Tonight he’s once again showcasing his own ability to write some extremely catchy songs that he absolutely sings the hell out of alongside his talented band. Also celebrating the release of a new record is local act Memphis Lightning who’ll be bringing their old school, entertaining, energetic and down and dirty blues to the stage to kick things off at 9:30pm.
