Folk-rock singer-songwriter Nat Hussey returns to the stage of Andy’s Old Port Pub this evening for a night of songs and stories that will start up right around 7 o’clock.

Blue hosts Laura Dover’s art and music show this evening. Laura is a printmaker, painter, singer and songwriter.  Her acoustic sets feature originals, classic pop and country songs accompanied by simple instrumentation, emphasizing her unique vocal delivery. Tonight’s performance gets underway at 7pm.

Don’t miss the stunningly bold yet simple folk songs of Mousa and Benson tonight as the pair come together on stage at Blue tonight starting at 9.

Empire’s Three for 3 series, which offers up three great local bands for only a three dollar cover, continues tonight with Laughing Animal, Waco Sparkler and Bright Boy. Take in some terrific indie tunes this Tuesday as things get underway upstairs at 9 o’clock.

Check out tonight’s Open DJ Night happening at Flask Lounge.  Starting at 9 you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open decks. All you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones. This event is free and always a good time so go on and check it out.

Crooners & Cocktails welcomes Portland piano man Mike Maurice to their lounge for an evening filled with funk, soul and jazz selections. Join Mike as things get underway at 9pm.

Take in some roots rock tunes as local musician Travis James Humphrey plays a free show at Gritty’s. Let the good times roll this Tuesday as things get swinging right around 9 o’clock.


Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile will be hosting another open mic event over at Local Buzz. All musicians of varying skills and genres are welcome to get up on the microphone and perform as things get underway right around 7:30pm.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
