Check out Lisa/Liza, Valuables & Midwestern Medicine at Empire tonight

It sort of feels like we’re taking the tiniest of steps towards the freakin’ weekend, but I promise you, we’re going to make it! Sometimes it’s just really hard to get back into the swing of things after Thanksgiving, but thankfully this Tuesday is geared up to help you let loose from the grind and have some series fun. Check out Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience at the State Theatre, Cumberland Crossing at Andy’s, Viva & The Reinforcements at Crooners & Cocktails, and more.

Andy’s welcomes back Portland-based, contemporary bluegrass act Cumberland Crossing for another evening of bustling bluegrass tunes. This free and all ages show starts at 7 o’clock.

Check out the first in a series of cool Tuesday night shows happening at Empire as they invite you to take in some tunes for only two bucks! That’s right a $2 cover will get you into an evening of indie rock/folk/punk courtesy of Portland bands Lisa/Liza, Valuables, and Midwestern Medicine. This 21+ show starts up at 8.

It is always a good time to get the Led out and you can do just that tonight as Jason Bonham, son of legendary Zeppelin drummer, John, returns to the State Theatre tonight with his Led Zeppelin Experience. This all ages event begins at 8pm and will feature the tunes of one of rock and roll’s most revered bands so go ahead and get some Led for your heads, babies.

Portland siren Viva brings her vivacious vocals back to Crooners & Cocktails tonight for another performance of jazz standards alongside her talented band The Reinforcements. This free shindig gets swinging at 9 o’clock.

Another Open Decks Night is happening at Flask Lounge tonight. Beginning at 9, you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open tables and all you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones! This event is free and always a good time so go on and check it out.

Local acoustic act Uke n’ Smile is back at Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland for another free, all-ages open mic event. All genres of music, musicians of varying skills, capabilities, and ages are welcome to join in on the fun as the music starts at 7:30pm.
