Back at it again, babies! Time to make the most of this working week by having fun when we can at some great shows all around town and beyond. There’s no reason to let another mundane Monday get ya down, so get out there and do it to it at such events as Andrew Bailie & Friends at Portland House of Music and Events, Jonathan Johnston & Elyse Wilkinson at Slates, Frank Fotusky at Andy’s Old Port Pub, and more.
Some seriously beautiful sounds will be happening at Slates tonight as local duo Jonathan Johnston and Elyse Wilkinson bring their soulful pop-rock songs to the stage for a show that’ll start up right around 8:15.
Local pop-rock artist Michael Krapovicky returns to host another free open mic at Pedro O’Hara’s. Join in on the musical revelry as this all ages event get underway around 6:30pm.
Enjoy an evening of acoustic blues, guitar rags and original tunes performed on both 6 and 12-string guitar as Frank Fotusky returns to Andy’s Old Port Pub tonight for a show that’ll start up right around 7 o’clock.
Mothership Mondays with Andrew Bailie & Crew continue tonight at Portland House of Music and Events. Get down with Bailie and friends as they funk up your Monday with some super fun jams starting at 9pm.
Monday of the Minds, a night of community hip hop, is back at Flask Lounge tonight with a showcase from producer/songwriter Laughing Animal and poetic rapper Myles Bullen as the pair celebrate the release of their latest collaboration, “Family Forever.” You can also anticipate performances from Mike Wing, Ape the Grim, Jacobson, P. Seize, Ill Murray and Reptyler to keep things crankin’ throughout the evening. There’ll also be a live art performance happening by Anna Welch as she paints a piece throughout the evening to be auctioned off at the end of the night. I’ve no doubt tonight’s event will be one for the books, so be sure to swing through and check it out as things get poppin’ off right around 9 o’clock.
