Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile will be hosting another open mic event over at Local Buzz. All musicians of varying skills and genres are welcome to get up on the microphone and perform as things get underway right around 7:30pm.
If you’re hitting the slopes this weekend and find yourself up at Sugarloaf, be sure to check out local country-rock duo Pitch Black Ribbons at The Rack tonight. The brothers will be bringing their toe-tapping tunes to the stage starting right around 7 o’clock.
Get yourself over to the Easy Street Lounge in Hallowell tonight for an evening of fun acoustic jams as Sa Rah’s Serenades continue. Let this lovely local songstress sing you some sweet songs as things get started up at this free show right around 9 o’clock.

Pop-rock and roller Alex Roy will be performing a set of original tunes and cover songs at Jimmy The Greek’s this Thirsty Thursday. Tonight’s event is free and sure to be a good time so swing through if you’re in the area as the music starts up at 7.
Vermont-made folk-Americana act The DuPont Brothers will be filling Blue on Congress Street with all kinds of memorable sounds as they perform a show starting right around 6 o’clock this evening.
American Idol Season 13 Finalist and indie artist Alex Preston brings his original tunes to the stage of Empire tonight for a show that will also feature performances by local musician Will Bradford of SeepeopleS and Portland act Is She? This all ages event gets underway upstairs at 7pm.
Memphis Christian rockers Skillet bring their orchestral prog-rock to the stage of the State Theatre tonight for an all ages show that will also feature performances by Devour The Day and Sick Puppies. Tonight’s event gets underway at 7:30pm.
Blue welcomes back contemporary bluegrass band Cumberland Crossing for another night of bustling bluegrass. Tonight’s free show gets kickin’ around 8 and directly following the band’s set will be an all-out bluegrass jam that’s open to any and all musicians who wanna join in. Swing through and have some fun if you’re kicking around downtown this Thursday evening.
Just heard word from one of the members of BBD and their show has been cancelled for this evening, but they’ll be back to bring you some good times and tunes NEXT Thursday! Mellow your mind with some stellar jams at Gritty’s during another fun night with the one and only A Band Beyond Description. Far more than just your typical Grateful Dead cover band, these fellas jam out on everything from Phish, the Allman Brothers, The Band and more. Anticipate good times, good tunes and good people starting right around 9.
Kilcollins return to RiRa to rock the night away with a free and fun show that’ll start up around 9. The fellas will get your booty shaking out on the dance floor with all kinds of songs that you know and love as well as some catchy original jams that are sure to keep you moving.
Native Isles, which features a veritable who’s who of local talent, will be bringing the party to Portland House of Music and Events tonight. With Emma Stanley on vocals and trumpet/flugelhorn, Tyler Stanley on keys and vocals, Pete Morse on guitar and vocals, and Andy Robbins on drums, tonight’s show is guaranteed to be an awesome time. Things get shaking right around 9 with an opening set from local talented songstress Katherine Matzell Frederick and her band.
