Jazz up your midweek with LQH as the return to Frontier as part of the venue’s Live in the Lounge music series tonight. The immensely talented cats of LQH (Chas Lester, Tyler Quist, and Evan Haines) will be bringing their melting pot of sound — everything from soul, jazz, funk, and rock — to life during this free show that’ll get underway at 7:30.
The Working Dead are bringing some grooves out to the patio of Portland House of Music once again this Wednesday evening. This trio of talented local musicians will be serving up some Happy Hour Grateful Dead jams during a free show that starts at 5pm.
Blue’s Irish Concert Series continues with a featured performance from local musicians Joni Harms with Don Roy and Friends. Joni’s performance begins at 7:30pm and will be directly followed by another Wednesday evening Irish Session open jam that welcomes any and all musicians on stage to make some music.
Hip-hop artist, Futuristic, who blends humor, intellect and real life experiences to create songs that have landed him on the Billboard charts, will be bringing the party to Port City Music Hall tonight. This all ages event starts up at 7:30 with openers Beez, Marzek and TJ Hickey.
David Beam and the Custom House Gang will be serving up some down home, acoustic roots tunes to wind down your Wednesday with over at Andy’s Old Port Pub. The local act will get the good times and good tunes rolling around 8.
Over at Bull Feeney’s you can check out another fun evening of folk tunes with local musician Dave Rowe. Rowe will be making some noise that pairs perfectly with an ice cold pint so swing through and check him out if you’re in the downtown area this evening.
Prolific Texas-based singer-songwriter David Ramirez will be bringing his Bootleg Tour to One Longfellow Square this evening. Ramirez’s passionate, soulful music will be on display tonight as he records a live album in this beautiful Portland venue. Things get underway at 8:30pm.
Your second chance to catch some Dead tunes at Portland House of Music happens right around 9 as The Maine Dead Project returns to the stage as part of their weekly residency. These talented local musicians will be bringing the sounds of the Grateful Dead to life tonight so swing through and check ‘em out if you’re downtown this Wednesday evening.
Add some folk-pop goodness to your Wednesday as the Dapper Gents Duo as they return to the stage of RiRa for another free show that’ll get underway at 9.
Hip-hop heads should make some plans to check out Empire as Onry Ozzborn takes the stage tonight. Ozzborn just announced a new solo album titled DUO, which features several prominent guest spots, including Aesop Rock, Pigeon John, P.O.S. of Doomtree, The Moldy Peaches’ Kimya Dawson, and more. This evening you’ll be able to check out some joints from that new record as well as showcases from Rob Sonic, Upgrade and Rafael Vigilantics with special guest DJ Zone as things get underway upstairs at 9pm.
The Jimmy Macisso Band is back at The Frog and Turtle tonight for a free show filled with some jazz classics. Tonight’s musical event begins at 7:30pm.
Pete Witham returns to Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza for some more fun Americana and rockabilly music this Wednesday. Pete will be joined by a rotating cast of characters as they bring the good times and tunes to the stage during this free show, that’ll start up at 7:30pm.
