The Summer Festival Of The Arts presents The St. Paddy’s Day Green Ball as their annual fundraiser this year. Established over thirty years ago, Summer Festival of the Arts – SFOA – on Mount Desert Island offers a three-week arts experience for young people entering grades 1 through 11. This year’s theme is obviously green as well as rock and/or roll as they welcome local rockabilly act The Crown Vics to the stage of the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel in Bar Harbor right around 7pm to help raise money for this important program.
Local duo October Road will be performing at Elements on Main Street in Biddeford this Friday evening. Starting at 8 check out the duo’s set of Americana and folk rock tunes at this free, all-ages show.
Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield presents A Lotta Folk Music tonight as three great folk singers come together on stage for a night of joyful music. Beginning at 8 check out an evening of songs and stories from Christine Lavin, Don White, and Vance Gilbert.
Get your Friday night rolling along with some live, acoustic tunes from local singer-songwriter Bill Howard. Starting at 7 Bill will be playing some songs at tonight’s free show at The Daniel Inn Coast Bar + Bistro.
The Scolded Dogs will be bringing the party to The Rack tonight for a free show that’ll feature their killer mix of original jams and classic covers that span all kinds of genres and artists such as Johnny Cash, Parliament, Snoop Dogg, and many, many more. Alter Igor will be rocking out The Kennebec Wharf in Hallowell with their blend of classic rock tunes tonight. The band will be playing everything from Nick Lowe to The Who and many, many more iconic rock n’ rollers as they get things underway right around 9 o’clock.

Dance it out down at The Brunswick in Old Orchard Beach as dance/pop cover act Tickle gets ready to bring the house down with some of the best of today’s music mixed in with a little touch of retro funk. The party starts at 8:30 tonight.
Southern Maine cover band Country Roads will be bringing the boot-scootin’ boogie to Jimmy The Greek’s tonight as they play tunes from such acts as Florida Georgia Line, George Strait, Jason Aldrean, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn and much, much more during a fun Friday night show that’ll get fired up at 8:30.
Local pop-rock outfit The Still returns to Portland House of Music and Events for another Happy Hour set that’ll get started at 4 o’clock. Enjoy some good tunes, good times, and great drink specials with some great people during this free and fun event.
Shanna Underwood hosts another Songwriters in the Round tonight at Blue on Congress Street in Portland. Jazz it up this Friday at the Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free Street in Portland with the cats of LQH (Chas Lester, Tyler Quist, and Evan Haines) as they bring their melting pot of sound — everything from soul, jazz, funk, and rock — over to The Dogfish starting at 8 tonight.
Join local songstress Kristel Hayes, singer-songwriter Travis James Humphrey, and musician Sam Balentine and friends for an evening of music celebrating the early work of two of Americana music’s most prolific and beloved songwriters, Patty Griffin and John Prine.
