Fire House Grille will be heating up with the blues, rock n’ roll, country, reggae and fusion sounds of local band Continental Shakedown as these talented gents get the joint jumping during a free, all-ages show starting at 8:30.
Twin sisters, The Veayo Twins, will be performing a free all-ages show up at the Gin Mill in Augusta tonight. Starting at 7:30 you can take in some original music from the girls who touch on genres such as country, pop, rock and more.
If you’re doing it to it in Central Maine tonight be sure to catch some classic and modern rock covers from the Jim Brown Band as these fellas kick off their two-night stint at the Penobscot Pour House right around 8 o’clock tonight.
Hollywood Casino will be the place to boogie on down to some classic rock cover tunes as Lucie & The Undercover Band take the stage around 8 for a free 21+ show.
Shanna Underwood and Wanderlost will be bringing some fine Americana music to the stage of Elements: Books Coffee Beer in Biddeford this evening. Starting at 8 Underwood joins forces with Devon Colella on cello, Drew Wyman on bass, and Greg Bjork on mandolin for some stellar musical sounds.
Funk-rock extraordinaires Rustic Overtones will be playing a show up in Brownfield tonight. Don’t miss your chance to party with one of Maine’s most beloved live acts as they prepare to blow the doors down at the Stone Mountain Arts Center. Things kick into gear right around 8 o’clock.
Steve Jones and a couple of his pals will be playing some tasty tuneage The Rack tonight. Jones blends everything from rockabilly, country, old-time rock and roll and more to create some especially well-crafted jams that’ll be sure to make your ear holes happy, your head bob and your feet tap. If you’re in the area make sure you swing by, as the show starts right around 9 tonight.
The Allison Ames Band will be bringing some irresistible dance tunes to the stage of the Bears Den in Dover-Foxcroft tonight as they serve up classic covers of country, rock, blues and disco beginning at 9.
Tailgate Bar & Grill will be getting funky this evening with some urban Chicago blues courtesy of Mike James’ Blue Lions. Tonight’s free shindig starts up right around 9pm.
If you’re up in Hallowell tonight check out the musical antics of local 4-piece act Smoked Salmon as they bring their eclectic range of sounds to the stage of the Easy Street Lounge. Rolling Stones cover band The Stone Doctors will be bringing the classic rock rage to the Widowmaker Lounge at Sugarloaf this finally Friday. Get ready to bust out your best Mick moves as tonight’s RnR party gets underway at 9:30pm.
Guthrie’s in Lewiston will be jumping tonight as they welcome back The Juke Joint Devils to play some tunes tonight. Starting at 8, check out some old time, hard driving and swinging blues as the band kicks out the jams all night long.
The Cage is gearing up for a Friday night full of rock and alternative covers as well as original songs from local band Zealous Bellus. The fellas are ready to kick things into a full tilt rage for this free show starting right around 8.
The Hayloft Pub welcomes back local singer-songwriter Ron Bergeron. Ron will be serving up tons of tunes starting at 8 including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and many, many more. Portland party band The GE3ks will be bringing the good times to Jimmy The Greek’s tonight. Starting at 9 get ready to bust a move to some of the best 80’s pop, dance, New Wave, hard rock, rap and one hit wonder tunes around.
High-energy bluegrass band Seagrass returns to Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street for some good times and good tunes. Get your finally Friday started with this talented act as the music starts at 7 o’clock.
Vermont-made folk-Americana act The DuPont Brothers will be filling Blue on Congress Street with all kinds of memorable sounds as they perform a free show starting right around 8 o’clock this evening.
A killer show to check out tonight at Portland House of Music and Events as the State Theatre presents the No BS Brass Band. This powerhouse act embraces the spirit of New Orleans with some modern funk flair. Their danceable arrangements draw inspiration and influences from jazz, funk, klezmer, and Led Zeppelin. No BS! Tonight they’ll be joined by local salsacore act El Malo who’ll be bringing some Latin-fused funk and punk to the stage as things kick-off right around 8 o’clock.
One Longfellow Square welcomes the Matt Flinner Trio to the stage tonight. Bluegrass, jazz and Celtic influences are all present in the trio’s sound, but not necessarily overtly or in a contrived sense. The band have been labeled such things as Americana, new acoustic and Chambergrass, but no matter what you wanna callt them, their tunes are certain to be something you’ve not quite heard before. Opening tonight’s show will be local bluegrass picker Joe Walsh, who’ll get the evening started right around 8.
The Work Trucks will be making some noise at Salvage BBQ this Friday evening. The band blends elements of rockabilly, country, old-time rock and roll, Americana, and roots rock to create some mighty fine sounds that are guaranteed to please. An awesome night of indie alt-, pop- and psychedelic-rock will be taking over Geno’s Rock Club tonight. Starting at 9 you can check out special sets from local acts Forget, Forget, Jeff Beam and SeepeopleS. There’s going to be lots of terrific tunes from some majorly talented Maine-made musicians to take in, so make some plans to hit up Geno’s tonight.
If you’re looking for some electronic jams paired with a bit of hip-hop then make your way out to Port City Music Hall tonight as Of The Trees is joined by Deltanine and God.Damn.Chan. for some sounds that are guaranteed to get you shaking it out on the dance floor. Things get jumping right around 9 o’clock.
Get down on it with some of the best alt-rock tunes the 90s ever gave us with Hello Newman who’ll be throwing a party upstairs at Bull Feeney’s tonight. Grab some pals, drink some beers, and enjoy tunes from such bands as Sublime, Blink 182, the GinBlossoms, Everclear, No Doubt and even Chumbawumba (yes, I just said Chumbawumba) as the (free) party starts right around 9:30.
Bust out your boogie shoes, pull up your polyester pants, and get ready to break it on down during Empire’s Tribute 2 Disco event. A ton of talented local cats will be playing you all of your favorite sequin-splashed cover tunes from the era of platform shoes and disco balls so get ready to shake it starting at 9:30 tonight.
RiRa welcomes back dance/pop cover act Tickle as they prepare to bring the house down with some of the best of today’s music mixed in with a touch of retro funk for a free Friday night dance party that gets shakin’ right around 10.
The Mallett Brothers Band will be bringing their fiery, boot-stomping, alt-country rock to the stage of The Speakeasy in Rockland tonight. The boys will be making some noise starting right around 9 o’clock.
Local acts Skosh and The Veggies team up for a night of funk, rock and country as they play a free show up at Mixers in Sabattus tonight. Get ready to have a whole lotta fun as this party gets started at 8:30.
Check out some modern country covers from local act Whiskey Militia as they bring the party to Riffs Café & Club tonight. This Central Maine act will be rocking you with songs artists like Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Josh Thompson, Jake Owen and more as this free show gets shaking right around 8:30pm.
The County gets roots rocked this evening with a stupendous show up at the Eureka Hall Restaurant in Stockholm. Tonight Travis Cyr opens up the show with a set of solo acoustic tunes right around 6:30pm followed by featured act, Dark Hollow Bottling Company, who will be bringing their foot-stomping, Americana/roots jams to life all night long.

Phil Divinsky shows us all where offspring Lyle got all his soul from the evening as he and his Americana rhythm & blues band return to The Frog & Turtle in Westbrook tonight. You can enjoy some smooth, delightful sounds starting right around 8:30 at this fabulous gastro pub located right in downtown Westbrook.
