Asheville alt-country trio Gold Rose brings their Americana highway-gospel to Mine Oyster in Boothbay Harbor tonight. The trio consists of singer-songwriter and guitarist Kevin Fuller, bassist Ryan Kijanka and drummer Ryan Sargent. The threesome blends crunchy guitar noise with folk, country and Americana. See them alongside special guests, alt-country rockers, The Mallett Brothers Band, as things start up at 9 o’clock.
Lula Wiles bring their folk, roots and Americana songs to life on stage at Washington County Community College in Calais this evening. This talented trio will be making some noise starting up at 7 o’clock.
The Kennebec Wharf is the place to be for a Friday night full of rock and alternative covers as well as some super catchy original jams from local band Zealous Bellus. The fellas are ready to party on down as this free show starts up at 9 o’clock.
The Scolded Dogs are back to make some noise at Easy Street Lounge tonight as they bring some more party-rockin’ tunes to the stage for another free show. Starting at 9 you can expect to hear some awesome originals as well as covers of such acts as Johnny Cash, Parliament, Snoop Dogg and more.
Local cover act The Depths will be bringing the party to Pedro O’Hara’s this finally Friday. The band will be playing all kinds of songs from all kinds of genres during this free show, which starts up at 8 o’clock.

If you’re partying in OOB tonight and in need of some high-energy rock n’ roll then make your way over to Mr. Goodbar as Seacoast act Red Sky Mary will be blasting off into the rock n’ roll stratosphere right 7 o’clock this Friday.
The Brunswick in Old Orchard is geared up for another fun Friday featuring dance-pop cover act Tickle. Things get shaking at 8:30 with a super party mix of some of the best music from today as well as some classic retro funk that’s guaranteed to get you out on the dance floor.

Blue welcomes back local bluegrass duo Darlin’ Corey this First Friday. Starting at 6 stop on by and check out the pair’s delightful blend of vocal harmonies, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitars that make some truly unique bluegrass, old timey, and folk sounds.
Organ-based trio Micromasse will be playing a free, outdoor show at Congress Square Park this evening. If you’re Art Walking, be sure to stop by and check out the melodic and mesmerizing sounds of musicians Chris Sweet, Max Cantlin and Pete Dugas as the three combine guitar, drums and organ to pump out some superior instrumental jams starting at 6pm.
Pop-rock and Americana act the Jason Spooner Band will be helping you ease into the freakin’ weekend with a party outside on the deck at Portland Lobster Company. This free all-ages shindig starts up at 7pm.
If you’re doing the First Friday thing then make some plans to take in tonight’s performance by Okbari Middle Eastern Ensemble at Blue on Congress Street. Starting at 8 the act will be performing music from the Middle East and Turkey on such unique and beautiful instruments as oud (fretless Middle Eastern lute), qanun (72-stringed Middle Eastern micro-tonal zither), nay (ancient Middle Eastern reed flute), and Middle Eastern percussion.
Five-piece funk, rock and blues band Skosh brings the thunder to the outdoor stage at Slab tonight. The band will be performing a mix of covers and originals as this free all-ages party gets underway at 8.
Things get funky down at Portland House of Music and Events tonight with Shut Down Brown who promise to keep you dancing the night away with their blend of progressive-rock, funk, and soul. There’s bound to be a ton of getting down so be sure to check it out right around 9.
Fridays are generally a great time to shake what your mama gave ya, so you might as well do just that tonight by getting down to Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland where DJ Jamie O’Sullivan will be hosting his monthly LOVE event. The Speakeasy in Rockland welcomes Goodnight Moonshine to the stage this Friday. Goodnight Moonshine is a collaboration of songwriters Molly Venter of the chart-topping Americana group Red Molly, and Eben Pariser of the explosive Brooklyn quintet Roosevelt Dime. See them tonight as things get underway at 8pm.
