Oh man, it feels like it’s been a while since I’ve been pushing this hard for the weekend, but we’re already to Wednesday which means we’re also almost half way to the freakin’ weekend. So keep doing it to it and get out there as tonight has a crap-ton (actual scientific unit of measurement) of awesome stuff going on including Micromasse at Frontier, Built To Last at Portland House of Music, Ben Cosgrove at Gather, Humming House at One Longfellow Square, Don Campbell at The Frog and Turtle, and more. Here we go!

BIDDEFORD

If you’re south of Portland tonight and looking to take in some roots rock jams then make your way down to Champions Sports Bar in Biddeford where Travis James Humphrey will be playing a solo set of tunes. Humphrey will be doing his thing starting at 10.

BRUNSWICK

Organ-based trio Micromasse returns to Frontier tonight as part of the venue’s Live in the Lounge Wednesday night music series. This free show will showcase the melodic and mesmerizing sounds of musicians Chris Sweet, Max Cantlin and Pete Dugas as the three combine guitar, drums and organ to create some superior instrumental jams starting right around 7:30pm.

PORTLAND

The Working Dead are bringing back some feel-good grooves to Portland House of Music and Events once again this Wednesday. This trio of talented local musicians will be serving up some Happy Hour Grateful Dead jams during a free show that starts around 5.

Blue’s Irish Concert Series continues this evening with a featured performance from musician Finn McGill. McGill’s set begins at 7:30 and will be followed by another Wednesday evening Irish Session that is open to any and all musicians looking to get up on stage and collaborate.

Tonight One Longfellow Square welcomes Humming House to the stage. A band that you might not’ve heard of just yet, but you probably will in the near future, they show influences from such acts as Mumford and Sons, Fun, and Of Monsters and Men, and put on a live show that is exceptionally fun and full of sound. Join them for some musical merriment as things get underway at 8.

Over at Bull Feeney’s you can check out another fun evening of folk tunes with local musician Dave Rowe. Rowe will be making some sounds that pair perfectly with a pint starting right around 8 o’clock so swing through and check him out if you’re in the downtown area this Wednesday evening.
Hurdle the hump with some acoustic roots tunes tonight as David Beam and the Custom House Gang return for their weekly gig at Andy’s Old Port Pub. This talented troupe will begin playing right around 8.
Check out some great local rock and roll acts tonight at Flask Lounge as the Keeper Class, Port City Saints, and Gant come together for a free show. This rager will get rockin’ right around 9 o’clock.
The Dapper Gents Duo return to the stage of RiRa tonight for another free 21+ show full of awesome folk and pop-rock tunes. Things get underway at 9.

Built To Last, a Grateful Dead experience featuring members of The Working Dead, The Maine Dead Project, and Smoked Salmon, will be jamming out again on stage at Portland House of Music and Events. Let the good times roll as the music starts up at 9.

WESTBROOK

Maine-based adult-contemporary folk rock artist Don Campbell will kick off his Wednesday night residency at The Frog and Turtle tonight with a free, all-ages show that will start at 7:30pm. .

YARMOUTH

Multi-instrumentalist Ben Cosgrove will be performing at Gather in Yarmouth this evening. Join Cosgrove for some acoustic, dinnertime tunes as this free and all ages gathering begins at 6:30pm.
