Starting at 5:30 you can enjoy some terrific live music as Monique sets up shop with her acoustic guitar and plays her original soulful folk tunes during this all-ages, free event.
Brunswick’s Music on the Mall concert series showcases the earthy, emotionally expressive and finely crafted Americana, folk and blues sounds of local act Hilton Park this evening. Head out to the Brunswick Town Mall right around 6 o’clock for this free and family-friendly event.
Jazz up your midweek happenings by checking out LQH Live in the Lounge at Frontier tonight. The immensely talented cats of LQH (Chas Lester, Tyler Quist, and Evan Haines) will be bringing their melting pot of sound — everything from soul, jazz, funk, and rock — to life during this free show that’ll get underway at 7:30.
If you’re hanging in Gray tonight stop on by Cole Farms for this week’s Open Mic with local musician Dave Jacquet. It’s a free event, there’s tasty food and boozy drinks, and guaranteed to be a whole lot of fun, so check it out as things get started up at 7.

Hey all you Dead Heads! You’ve got two chances to get your noodle on down at Portland House of Music and Events this Wednesday. The first being Happy Hour with The Working Dead as they play a free show out on the patio. Starting at 4 this talented trio will be playing all your favorite Grateful Dead tunes as well as some various covers from other beloved jam bands so make some plans to check it out.
The Porthole on Commercial Street welcomes back local singer-songwriter Isaiah Bennett for a set of songs this evening. Starting at 6 check out Isaiah’s distinctive mix of acoustic pop and funk during this free and fun event.
Eric Bettencourt is back in town for the summer and tonight he joins a few pals for an early evening fun out on the deck of the Portland Lobster Company. I anticipate lots of good times, good tunes, and good vibes to happen during this free all ages shindig that gets shaking right around 6:30pm.
Blue’s Irish Concert Series continues with a featured performance from local musicians Will Woodson and Tom Rota. The pair’s performance begins at 7:30pm and will be directly followed by another Wednesday evening Irish Session open jam that welcomes any and all musicians on stage to make some music.
Tap your toes to some some down-home, acoustic roots tunes at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in downtown Portland as local act David Beam and The Custom House Gang return to play a free show starting at 8.
Your second chance to catch some great Dead tunes at Portland House of Music and Events happens right around 9 tonight as Doug Emery, Justin Maxwell, Joshua M. Robbins, Christopher Sweet, Tim Sullivan and Ryan Benoit of The Maine Dead Project continue their summer residency. These talented musicians will be bringing the sounds of the Grateful Dead and more to the stage so swing through and check ‘em out if you’re downtown this Wednesday evening.
