Uke n’ Smile returns to the Local Buzz this evening for another open mic. All musicians of different skills and genres are welcome as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 7:30.
Will and Luke Mallett as well as Andrew Martelle of local alt-country act The Mallett Brothers Band will be performing a special acoustic show up at The Rack this evening. Join these fellas for some Thursday night fun as this free shindig gets swinging around 7pm.
Get yourself over to the Easy Street Lounge in Hallowell tonight for an evening of fun acoustic jams as Sa Rah’s Serenades continue. Let this lovely local songstress sing you some sweet songs as things get started up at this free show right around 9 o’clock.
Folk-rock cover act Rippleton Cross will be performing an acoustic set at Sea40. This free, all-ages show will feature the pair performing renditions of songs by such artists as The Who, Joe Jackson, Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens and many more as things get started right around 7pm.
Portland’s professional Klezmer band, The Casco Bay Tummlers, return to the stage of Blue this evening for a performance filled with traditional Eastern European Jewish compositions. Tonight’s show gets started right at 7pm.
Local rock and roller Tim Mercer will be performing at St. Lawrence Arts on Munjoy Hill this evening as fundraising event to help out this terrific Portland venue. Mercer is a musician from right here in Portland and spent 12 years in Brooklyn, NY fronting the rock band, Daphne. During his time in New York, Tim won the K-Rock Battle of the Bands, and was the runner up in the HBO Rock The Stones Contest, as well as the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Tonight you can see him perform live in this intimate and unique setting as music starts up right around 7 o’clock.
Get your Thursday underway with lots of stringed things, foot stomping, and good times as Andy’s Old Port Pub welcomes back Mountain Emergency for an evening filled with bluegrass music. This free event is all ages and gets underway right around 7 o’clock.
Dover, NH party royalty, Rick Rude, brings his bygone-jangle tunes to Bunker Brewing alongside psychedelic rock and rollers Jeff Beam and Carinae for a fun show that’ll get rocking and/or rolling right around 8 tonight.
Kilcollins return to RiRa to rock the night away with a free and fun show that’ll start up around 9. The fellas will get your booty shaking out on the dance floor with all kinds of songs that you know and love as well as some catchy original jams that are sure to keep you moving.
Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up once again for an evening of songs and stories over at Blue. Starting at 9, check out local artists Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis as they come together on stage to share their own original roots, Americana, and folk compositions.
Grammy nominated, New England based band The Primate Fiasco will be having some fun in Portland tonight as they perform at Portland House of Music and Events. The band uses instruments from the past to make music from the future. It is said that “To a deaf person, they look like a New Orleans Dixieland street band. To a blind person, they sound like a rave DJ mashing-up house beats with 60’s folk lyrics.” The night will start with Portland’s own feel-good music collective Happy Folk, who’ll get things going with some fun jazz-rock beginning at 9pm.

Maine-based adult-contemporary folk-rocker Don Campbell returns to the stage of the Kerrymen Pub tonight. Check out Campbell’s solo set as music starts up this evening right around 6:30pm.
The Silver Street Tavern will host local musician Ron Bergeron this Thursday. Ron will be serving up tons of great songs starting at 7 o’clock including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and maybe even a little Lady Gaga. If you’re in the area be sure to stop by and check out some good times and good tunes during this free and fun show.
Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza welcomes back local instrumentalist and vocalist Seth Warner and a couple of his friends to the stage for a free performance filled with blues, country, folk, re-imagined jazz and songbook standards. Don’t miss out on the fun as things get underway at 7 o’clock.
