Portland-based funk-rock act Rustic Overtones will be performing at the beautiful Vinegar Hill Music Theatre in Arundel this evening. The band’s beloved blend of soul music, garage punk, jazz and psychedelic sounds will come to life with accompaniment by the extremely talented group of young musicians known as the Maine Youth Rock Orchestra. This must-see show starts up at 8 o’clock.
Local artist Dave Perlman will be playing at 84 Court Pizza & Restaurant this evening. Join Dave for a wide array of covers and originals from many different genres during this free, all-ages acoustic show that’ll get underway at 6pm.
Local folk-rock cover act Rippleton Cross will be at the Fire House Grill in Auburn this evening. Beginning at 8 the duo will be performing acoustic renditions of songs by such artists as Joe Jackson, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, Cat Stevens and many, many more. This event is free and all-ages so make some plans to check it out if you’re in the area this Friday.
Local four-piece cover act, Fighting Fiction will be providing the perfect soundtrack for your Friday night with a wide variety of material from all kinds of genres including modern pop, rock, alternative, country, classic rock and more. The band will be doing it to it with a free show starting at 8 at Gritty’s in Auburn.
If you’re in Central Maine this evening check out an evening of country and bluegrass courtesy of Jack Lawless and Rebecca Mae as the pair perform during a free show at Hollywood Casino. This evening’s event begins at 8pm.

The Blast Addicts will be helping you kick off the freakin’ weekend with a free show at Ramona’s in Bucksport tonight. Starting at 9:30 join these cool cats for a non-stop rock and roll dance party that’s guaranteed to get you moving out on the dance floor!
Get your weekend underway with one heck of a party at Chummies in Ellsworth as epic jam band Singepole Mountain Band brings some musical merriment to your evening. Starting at 9, swing through with a your crew and check out some soulful, energetic jams during this sure-to-be-fun show.

Steve Jones & The All Night Rascals to bring some dub-style reggae-rock to The Kennebec Wharf tonight. Get down to some seriously raging tunes as this free 21+ party gets crankin’ right around 9pm.
Local pop-rock cover act The Nikki Hunt Band returns to Easy Street Lounge tonight. Covering artists such as Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett, Bruce Springsteen, Sublime, No Doubt, The Doors, U2 and many more there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone. Tonight’s performance will also include a colorful hula hoop act so be sure to check it out starting at 9pm.
Guitar, bass and violin trio, Treble G bring their rock and pop instrumentals, which cover decades from the 80’s through today, to The Lodge on The Cove in Kennebunkport this Friday. This free and all-ages performance will begin at 6 o’clock.
Train’s Tavern in Lebanon welcomes back classic and southern rock and roll band Rosie to the stage for a free show that’ll get cranking at 8pm.
Don Hebert, of locally-based classic rock cover act The Veggies, goes solo and acoustic for a show at the Apple Valley Golf Course in Lewiston tonight. Don will be bringing a set full of fun, danceable cover tunes to this free, all ages shindig starting at 7pm.
Join local musician Chad Porter for some fun times and tunes as he gets your weekend started up with a free show at Pedro O’Hara’s. Local cover act 95 North will be rocking and rolling at Moose Alley up in Rangeley with some time-tested tunes that everyone knows and loves. Check out this super-fun show as things get swinging right around 8:30.
Female fronted, 4-piece cover act, Tattooed Lies, will be bringing their fun renditions of 70’s and 80’s classic hits to the stage of Mixers tonight. Join in on the party as things get underway at 8:30pm.
The Kerrymen Pub welcomes acoustic Americana act Double Entendre this evening. This talented duo will start making some sweet sounds starting right around 6pm.
The Midnight Ramblers Duo will be bringing some acoustic alt-country, roots, and blues tunes to The Brick House Restaurant and Bar in Searsport this evening. Join Will Neils and Emmett Lalor as this free and fun show starts up at 7 o’clock.
Former American Idol contestant Elise Testone will be performing with some of her friends at The Ballroom at The Antique Books and Wine Bar in Trenton. Testone draws musical influences from several styles including smooth jazz and hard rock. Testone competed in the 11th season of American Idol, putting her spin on tunes by Janis Joplin, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Al Green and more, eventually placing sixth. This evening’s show will begin at 7 o’clock.
Singer-songwriter Freddy Dame Jr. will be performing an acoustic set at the Seaberry Coffee House and Bakery in Wells this evening. Join Freddy for some fun as this free show starts up at 7pm.
