Don’t miss Albert Lee with Big Ass Rooster at St. Lawrence Arts tonight

There’s no better way to celebrate making it through another Monday than by getting out and having some fun! Here’s what’s up for things to see and do this evening, including The Boneheads at Slates, an open mic with Michael Krapovicky at Pedro O’Hara’s, Cumberland Crossing at Andy’s, and more!

Get ready to celebrate 25+ years of rocking and rolling with The Boneheads at Slates in Hallowell tonight as they commemorate more than two decades of making music together. Known for their famously unpredictable and impressively musical shows that often feature band members switching up instrumental duties, as well as the occasional and uproariously funny versions of their own originals in the style of polka, The Boneheads are guaranteed to provide a fun night of songs not to be missed. Show these fellas some love and salute them for several years of good times and good tunes as things get underway right around 8 o’clock tonight.

Local pop-rock musician Michael Krapovicky returns to Pedro O’Hara’s to host another open mic event. Join in on the musical revelry as this all ages gathering gets underway around 6:30pm.

I am so excited for tonight’s show at St. Lawrence Arts as it marks the return of legendary musician Albert Lee. Lee was in Portland a few years back and I was lucky enough to attend his show and was absolutely blown away by his musicianship, therefore I highly encourage you to check out tonight’s performance if you can. Lee is an award-winning English guitarist known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique. He has worked, both in the studio and on tour, with many musicians from a wide range of genres, including The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, Bill Wyman, Carlene Carter, Dave Edmunds and more. Tonight he and his band will be joined by local opening act, Big Ass Rooster, who promises to get your toes tappin’ with their classic country crooners as things get underway right around 7pm this evening.

Andy’s Old Port Pub welcomes back local, contemporary bluegrass band Cumberland Crossing for an early evening of bustling bluegrass music. Tonight’s free, all-ages show gets kickin’ at 7 o’clock.

Monday of the Minds is back at Flask Lounge tonight with showcases from Justin Clancy, Busy Bars, Pockets, Riga Tone, Duka Ran and Wheelock. Stop through and check out some of New England’s best hip-hop heavies as this free show starts up at 9.

Mothership Mondays with Andrew Baillie & Crew continue tonight at Portland House of Music and Events. Get down with Bailie and friends as they funk up your Monday with some super fun jams starting at 9pm.
