You can join local duo Phil N’ The Blanks at Gritty’s in Auburn tonight for a free show featuring some blues, classic rock, country, R&B and modern pop cover tunes as things get started up at 8 o’clock tonight.
Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile is back at the Local Buzz for another free, all-ages open mic event. All artists of different genres, musical capabilities, and ages are welcome to join in on the creative fun as things get started up at 7:30 tonight.
If you’re hitting the slopes and getting in some spring skiing at The Loaf, be sure to make some plans to check out local country-rock duo Pitch Black Ribbons at The Rack tonight. These talented brothers will be bringing their toe-tapping tunes to the stage starting right around 7 o’clock.
Steve Jones and his band will be making some noise up at The Liberal Cup in Hallowell this Thursday evening. Jones and friends blend everything from rockabilly, country, old-time rock and roll, Americana, roots and more to create some mighty fine jams that are guaranteed to help you get the good times rolling. Local songstress Sa Rah brings her evening of serenades back to the Easy Street Lounge tonight, so make some plans to get cozy and enjoy her acoustic set of songs as things start up at 9:30.
Local singer-songwriter Steve Otter will be playing some cover tunes as well as some original numbers during a free and all-ages show at Pedro O’Hara’s starting at 7pm.
Maine musician Justin Walton will be playing some acoustic tunes during a free show at Andy’s Old Port Pub this evening. Enjoy some great music, local brews, and delicious pub fare as things get underway at 7.
Boston-based multi-instrumentalist Ian Ethan Case, best known for his innovative approach to the 18-string acoustic double-neck guitar, will be performing live at Blue tonight beginning at 7pm.
Folk-rock collective, Session Americana, will be joined on stage by special guest Laura Cortese tonight at One Longfellow Square for a show not to be missed. This evening’s performance will begin at 8pm.
Death-funk dance trio Lespecial brings their energetic and explosive live show full of dark future grooves, livetronic, and glitch-hop to the stage of Portland House of Music and Events tonight. Opening the evening with be Portland’s own experimental prog-rock and rollers, Five of the Eyes, who’ll get the party started at 8pm.
Cheekily named all-female Led Zeppelin cover band, Lez Zeppelin, will be tearing it up at Port City Music Hall tonight. Their name might imply a tongue-in-cheek approach to the music, but their musicianship is anything but cheeky as these four talented females have earned critical acclaim for their passion of paying homage to the mighty Led Zep. Check ‘em out for yourself as tonight’s show starts at 8pm.
Mellow your mind with some stellar jams over at Gritty’s as A Band Beyond Description returns for some Thursday night fun. Far more than just your typical Grateful Dead cover band, these fellas jam out on everything from Phish, the Allman Brothers, The Band and more. Anticipate good times, good tunes and good people starting right around 9.
Blue welcomes back local act Lost Cartoons, a project featuring local indie singer-songwriters Greg Jamie (former owner of The Oak & Ax) and Vince Nez (Mousa & The Last Sip). Music will begin at 9 o’clock tonight.
Don’t miss a super fun night of punk rock and roll over at Geno’s tonight as City Mouse, Random Ideas and The English Muffins team up for some Thursday night tuneage starting at 9 o’clock.
RiRa plays host to Ireland’s own Crooked Jacks tonight. The band blends their own unique individual talents as musicians and singers into a group that is bound to be one of Ireland’s next big folk acts. Be sure to check them out as they hit the stage right around 9pm tonight. .
Take in some modern country covers and original tunes tonight as Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza welcomes back Joan Kennedy for another free show that’ll get swinging at 7 o’clock.
