Monday, Monday, can’t trust that day… If Monday has been a bit mundane shake things up by checking out some live music this evening. There are some awesome things happening all around town and beyond, so put Monday in its place and have some fun tonight at such shows as Gina & The Red Eye Flight Crew at Portland House of Music, Open Mic with Michael Krapovicky at Pedro O’Hara’s, The Boneheads at Portland Lobster Company, Kate Campbell Strauss & Friends at St. Lawrence Arts Center and more.
American Ride goes acoustic tonight as they bust out a bunch of modern country covers for you boogie to during a free show at Champions, which starts up at 8:30.
Get the week started with with one heck of a party at Easy Street Lounge as epic jam bandHambone brings some musical merriment to your Monday with an open jam welcome to all. Starting at 9 check out Hambone’s soulful, energetic jams and even sit and play some of your own.
If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this Monday, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s where local pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky will be hosting another installment of his weekly acoustic Open Mic event. Tonight’s free event gets underway at 6:30 and is open to all, so grab an instrument and get ready to make some music, and some new friends tonight!
The Porthole welcomes back local musician Pat Foley for some acoustic country-rock. If you’re downtown this evening be sure to stop into this free show as the music starts at 6.
Check out a fun show outside as The Boneheads perform out on the Portland Lobster Company deck. The local act, which has become famous for their unpredictable, impressively musical shows, which often feature band members switching instruments, powerfully dynamic arrangements, and occasionally even hilarious polka versions of tunes, will start right around 6:30, so swing through and groove out if you’re in the area tonight.
St. Lawrence Arts presents another installment of their Monday Night Jazz Series tonight with another rousing performing from Kate Campbell Strauss & Friends. The act will be playing some jazz and blues with a soulful flair as this evening’s performance begins at 7pm.
If you’re looking to check out a little Americana action this Monday evening make some moves to Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street to see Jake Jacques perform during tonight’s free show which gets underway right around 7 o’clock.
Legendary act Fishbone brings their high-octane hybrid of funk, ska, punk, and metal to Port City Music Hall tonight. Boston funk and soul band The Nephrok! Allstars will get this Monday night party cranking with an opening set starting at 9pm.
Flask Lounge will be hosting another Primary Dance Party tonight but this time it’s all about Echo & The Bunnymen and Psychedelic Furs. Tonight will include a bunch of tunes from these two post-punk, New Wave era giants. Get ready to dance it on out as this free party gets rocking and rolling right around 9 o’clock.
Get after it tonight with another Funky Monday with Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew. The band, which is basically most of the members of Model Airplane, back up talented songstress Gina Alibrio for some funk, soul and R&B jams that are guaranteed to get the good times get rollin’. Make the most of this Monday with some music therapy as things start up around 9 down at Portland House of Music and Events.
