Gritty’s in Auburn gets jumping once again tonight as they welcome back The Juke Joint Devils to kick out some old time, hard-driving blues. Tonight’s show gets swinging around 8 and is absolutely free so be sure to check it out.
The Juke Rockets bring their high-energy Chicago and delta blues sounds back to the stage of Hollywood Casino in Bangor tonight. Join these talented Midcoast musicians as they take the stage for this free show right around 8pm.
Paul Gibbons and Mike McCormack team up tonight for some acoustic covers, requests and general musical merriment over at Champions. This free show starts up at 6:30pm.
Check out some rock and country tunes from past to present including covers from The Eagles, Johnny Cash, Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Eddie Money, Stevie Wonder, and more as Little Rodeo returns to Ramona’s in Bucksport tonight. The Kennebec Wharf is the place to be for a Friday night full of rock and alternative covers as well as some super catchy original jams from local band Zealous Bellus. The fellas are ready to party on down as this free show starts up at 9 o’clock.
Local band The Scolded Dogs will be making some noise at the Easy Street Lounge as they return with some party-rockin’ tunes. Beginning at 9:30 you can expect to hear some awesome originals as well as covers of such acts as Johnny Cash, Parliament, Snoop Dogg and more.
Local acoustic duo October Road will be live at The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport this evening. The pair will be performing a set of Americana and folk-rock tunes during tonight’s free, all-ages show starting at 5.
The Veggies are back to rock it on out during a free all ages show at Pedro O’Hara’s in Lewiston tonight. This local band will be bringing a show chock full of fun and danceable cover tunes to the stage as things get underway at 8.

Cover act Stolen Mojo will be playing some pop, rock, Motown, R&B, funk, disco and country jams from the last five decades at The Brunswick tonight. Join in on the free dance party as the music gets swinging right around 8:30.
It’s Friday which means it’s time to check out some Happy Hour tunes with local roots rocker Travis James Humphrey over at Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free Street. Blue welcomes back local bluegrass duo Darlin’ Corey to the stage on this First Friday. Beginning at 6 stop on by and check out the pair’s delightful blend of vocal harmonies, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitars that make some truly unique bluegrass, old timey, and folk sounds.
Get ready to mellow your mind at the Portland Lobster Company this finally Friday with the one and only, A Band Beyond Description. Far more than just your typical Grateful Dead cover band, these fellas will jam out accordingly on everything from the Allman Brothers, Phish, The Band and much more. Anticipate good times, good tunes, and good peeps starting at 6:30 during this free all ages show.
The Blues Prophets will be playing a set of blazing tunes this evening at St. Lawrence Arts in Portland. These fellas have been playing on stages since 1976 and have even performed with the likes of Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Johnson and more. So if you’re looking to welcome the weekend with some great tunes then might I suggest making your way up Munjoy Hill to check out this show, which gets starts at 7 with an opening set from the Some Guy’s Band.
Blue welcomes local act Zapion to the stage alongside special guest and belly dancer Sabrina Lichtenwalner. Tonight’s show starts at 8pm and will feature folk, classical and art music from the Turkish and Arab traditions, as well as Greek and Armenian dance music.
Roots, Rhythm & Dub will be out on the deck stage of Slab for a Friday night par-tay featuring some high-energy reggae and dub. Roy Davis presents The Snaggletooth String Band’s album release show for “The Awakening” at One Longfellow Square tonight. This concert is sure to be a captivating evening of lyrical poetry and storytelling that meets old-time, bluegrass, and folk music. A special opening set by Roy’s favorite songwriters, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Soucy kicks things off at 8pm.
There’s going to be one helluva party as four awesome rock n’ roll bands join forces for some Friday night thunder Portland House of Music and Events. Organ-based trio Micromasse will be playing a show at the Unity College Center for the Performing Arts in Unity tonight.
