Eric Krasno returns to Portland House of Music and Events with special guest the Marcus King Band

It’s time to take this thing to limit as we take on another Tuesday night! Once again, there’s a bunch of happening shows to check out, so get out there and make some noise this evening at such shindigs as Empire’s Three for 3 Series with 300 Dollars, TG9 & Valuables, Jesus Cactus at Blue, Bill Howard at Andy’s, an open mic at Sea Dog Brewing Company with Uke n’ Smile, and more!

Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up once again for another evening of songs and stories over at Blue. Starting at 6 check out another In The Round Event featuring Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis as they come together on stage to share their own original roots, Americana, and folk compositions.

Local singer-songwriter Bill Howard is back at Andy’s Old Port Pub this evening for a free event full of acoustic tunes. Bill will begin this all-ages show starting at 7 o’clock.

Grammy-winning guitarist, songwriter, and producer Eric Krasno and his band return to the stage of Portland House of Music and Events tonight. Krasno is also a founding member of Soulive and Lettuce and has worked with many Portland players as well. Psychedelic southern rock and blues outfit the Marcus King Band will open tonight’s show with a set starting up at 8 o’clock.

Electronic music comes in all sounds, colors, and textures, but drummer RJ Miller exploits the ambient side with chilled themes and moody soundscapes that you can check out tonight as he brings his latest musical endeavor, Jesus Cactus, to the stage of Blue. Miller expertly juxtaposes his drum kit with piano, keyboards, and analog synthesizers through infectious melodies that move and groove as things begin right around 8 o’ clock tonight.

Empire’s Three for 3 series, which offers up three great local bands for only a three dollar cover, continues tonight with (appropriately) 300 Dollars, TG9, and Valuables. Take in some terrific indie rock and roll tunes this Tuesday as things get underway upstairs at 9 o’clock.

Another Open DJ Night is happening again at Flask Lounge.  Starting at 9, you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open tables and all you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones! This event is absolutely free and always a good time, so go on and check it out.

Check out a free show down at Gritty’s in the Old Port tonight as roots rocker Travis James Humphrey plays a bunch of barn burners for ya beginning at 9.

Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile returns to Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland for another Open Mic this Tuesday evening. All artists of different skills and genres are welcome as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 8:30.
