Fell Runner, Buddusky, Tall Horse & Ossalot play Empire tonight

It’s almost that time where we all become zombies due to tryptophan and apple pies so we better make the most of our time before the food coma hits. Tonight’s shaping up to be seriously fun so let’s give Tuesday a look-see; lots to do including Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry & Max Davis at Blue, Blue Prairie at Andy’s Old Port Pub, Viva & The Reinforcements at Crooners & Cocktails, and more.

Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up once again for another evening of songs and stories over at Blue. Starting at 6 check out another In The Round Event featuring Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis as they come together on stage to share their own original roots, Americana, and folk compositions.

New England Celtic Arts presents dynamic Celtic sister duo Cassie and Maggie MacDonald this Tuesday evening. The pair will be bringing their  infectious energy, driving rhythms and lilting melodies to the stage of One Longfellow Square starting at 7pm.

Blue Prairie returns to Andy’s Old Port Pub tonight with some country and western tunes. This evening’s free, all-ages shindig will get swinging at 7 o’clock.

Los Angeles based band Fell Runner comes to Portland tonight for a show at Empire alongside a handful of awesome local acts. Fell Runner’s music has been described as “a wicked thicket of prickly guitars, asymmetrical rhythms and raw, emotive vocals: Post-punk meets world music meets math rock, if you will.” See ’em live alongside local bands Buddusky, Tall Horse and Ossalot as music starts upstairs around 9.

Blue welcomes back the Kelly Laurence Quartet for another Tuesday evening of jazz tunes. Tonight’s showcase gets started at 8pm.

Local jazz musician Viva will be joined by her band The Reinforcements once again for an evening of jazz standards over at Crooners & Cocktails. This free show gets started up right around 9 o’clock.

Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile returns to Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland tonight for another open mic event. All artists of different skills, genres, and ages are welcome to get up on the microphone as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 7:30pm.
