Holy Mother of Pearl, it’s Hump Day! We are almost half way thru this week and Wednesday night is jam packed with fun things to check out. Let’s see what’s cooking for tonight. Tons of tasty tunes to take in at such shows as Front Country * John Craigie at One Longfellow Square, Dave Rowe at Bull Feeney’s, Built To Last at Portland House of Music, Pete Witham at Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza, and more!

BRUNSWICK

Native Isles, which features a veritable who’s who of local talent, will return to Frontier in Brunswick tonight as part of the venue’s Live in the Lounge music series. With Tyler Stanley on keys and vocals, Pete Morse on guitar and vocals, and Andy Robbins on drums, tonight’s free show is guaranteed to be an awesome time. Make your midweek party happen by checking out Native Isles as the music starts at 7:30.

PORTLAND

Blue’s Irish Concert Series rolls on this Wednesday evening with a featured performance by Kevin McElroy and Tom Rota. Music starts at 7:30 and will be followed by a midweek Irish Session that is open to any and all musicians looking to get up on stage and jam.

Another opportunity to unwind with some great acoustic roots tunes happens again over at Andy’s as David Beam and the Custom House Gang return for another free, all ages show that’ll start up at 8pm.

Unique bluegrass band Front Country will be performing at One Longfellow Square this Wednesday evening. Front Country blend everything from high­ lonesome mountain music to new­ wave power pop, newgrass picking, oldgrass harmonies, and just plain glorious musicality for a sound that is completely all their own.San Fran Americana/folk artist John Craigie will open things up tonight as the music starts at 8 o’clock.

Fules Gold, a local jam band that mixes a blend of prog-rock and reggae together for a funky sound that’ll get you grooving, joins forces with local rockers The Side Chick Syndicate, Tim Mercer, and Ben Kilcollins for a free show at Flask Lounge. This party starts at 8 o’clock.

Bull Feeney’s welcomes back Dave Rowe this Wednesday as Rowe plays his own brand of folk-infused drinking tunes starting at 8. There’s never, ever a cover charge and also never, ever a shortage of locally brewed beer so make some moves and check this out this evening.

Built To Last, a Grateful Dead experience which features members of The Working Dead, The Maine Dead Project, and Smoked Salmon, will be back to jam out on stage at Portland House of Music and Events tonight.  Let the good times roll as the music starts up at 9.

Local folk-pop act the Dapper Gents Duo return to RiRa for their regular Wednesday night gig. Join these fun fellas as this free show starts at 9 o’clock.

WESTBROOK 

Local artist Pete Witham returns to Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza tonight for some fun Americana and rockabilly tunes that are guaranteed to help you hurdle the hump this Wednesday. Pete will be joined by his regular rotating cast of musically inclined characters as this free, all-ages performance gets underway right around 7 o’clock.
