Thank you for all that you do and all that you have sacrificed, your efforts are appreciated on a daily basis. Thank you.
Since it is Memorial Day that means most of you have this Monday off meaning that you might be in the mood to extend the long weekend into the evening, if so, here are a few places to do just that including Kafari, Mosart212, Anarkitty & Porkestra at Bunker Brewing Company, Micromasse at Sonny’s, Connor Garvey at Portland Lobster Company, Matthew Frantz at Andy’s, Maine Marimba Ensemble at Funky Bow Brewery and more!
Take in some tunes at Funky Bow Brewery in Lyman this afternoon where the always-entertaining Maine Marimba Ensemble will be doing their thing starting right around 1 o’clock. This free shindig is guaranteed to be a good time, so be sure to swing by and check it out if you’re in the area this afternoon.
Local organ-based trio Micromasse will be playing at Sonny’s this afternoon. Check out the melodic and mesmerizing sounds of Chris Sweet, Max Cantlin and Pete Dugas as the three combine guitar, drums and organ to pump out some superior instrumental jams starting at noon.
Local singer-songwriter Connor Garvey will be bringing his soulful acoustic folk-rock to the deck of the Portland Lobster Company this afternoon. Check out Connor and a few of his friends as they start making noise right around 12:30.
Get funky with The Blues Mafia as they heat things up out on the deck of the Portland Lobster Company starting at 5:30. This free show will be chock full of the blues, soul and funk as this high-energy quintet gets your Monday swinging.
Funky Mondays continue to be the perfect the place to get down as Gina Alibrio and the Red Eye Flight Crew bring you some of the funkiest, fun and soul-filled sounds around. Alibrio’s impressive pipes are backed by a band featuring members of Model Airplane so you know you’re gonna have a wicked good time boogie-ing down to some terrific tunes as things get started at 9 over at Portland House of Music and Events.
