Get down with Gina & The Red Eye Flight Crew at Portland House of Music and Events

That was one helluva weekend, and even though Monday has been kickin’ my ace today, I will not admit defeat! Instead I’m about ready to hike up my Party Jorts and get the good times rollin’. I hope I can inspire you to do the same and check out some shows such as Stopwatch at The Porthole, an open mic with Michael Krapovicky at Pedro O’Hara’s, Hambone at Easy Street Lounge, Mike Preston at Andy’s, and more!


Get the week started at Easy Street Lounge as jam band Hambone brings some musical merriment to your Monday with an open jam welcome to all. Starting at 9, check out Hambone’s soulful, energetic jams and even get up and play some tunes of your own.


If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this evening, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s as local pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky hosts another installment of his weekly acoustic open mic event. Tonight’s free shindig gets underway at 6:30 and is open to all musicians.


My Skeleton, a local acoustic act consisting of musicians Alex Roy and Matt Libby, will be performing a free show out at Hooligan’s on the pier in OOB tonight. Join these fellas for some Monday night fun beginning at 9pm.


Local singer-songwriter, Connor Garvey will be bringing his beautiful blend of soul and folk out onto the deck of the Portland Lobster Company on Commercial Street this Monday evening for a free, all ages acoustic show. Check out this fun show as things get underway right around 6 o’clock.

Portland based pop-rock band Stopwatch will be playing a selection of tunes from the 60’s through today out on the deck of The Porthole this evening. Join these fellas for some fun as this free show starts up right around 6pm.

Andy’s Old Port Pub welcomes local musician Mike Preston for some acoustic country tunes tonight. This free and all ages show gets started up right around 7.

Get after it tonight with Gina Alibrio and the Red Eye Flight Crew. Featuring most of the members of Model Airplane backing up talented songstress, Gina Alibrio, you’re guaranteed to have a soulfully good time as things start up right around 9 at Portland House of Music and Events.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
