Get heavy at Geno’s tonight with Child Abuse, Golden Oriole, Clan of Dyad & Cuse Me

Oh yeah, time to take it to the limit once again this Tuesday. High fives for surviving another Monday! If you’re looking to let loose this evening check out shows such as The Heated at Bayside Bowl, Don Campbell at Easy Day, Blue Steel Express at Portland Lobster Company, Frank Fotusky at Blue, an open mic with Uke n’ Smile at Sea Dog Brewing Company and more!


Local singer-songwriter Lindsey Montana will be playing a set of piano-driven tunes at Fast Breaks in Lewiston this evening. Enjoy some food, drinks, and fun as Lindsey begins right around 7pm.


Catch The Heated at Bayside Bowl as they bring some R&B, soul, hip-hop and everything in between to your Tuesday evening. Rock out for a bit and then do some bowling as this free and all ages show starts up at 6 o’clock.

The Porthole welcomes Dan Merrill to the deck this evening as he performs a variety of acoustic rock, pop and folk covers and originals during a free show that’ll start up at 6pm.

Blue Steel Express brings their unique brand of blues, from full-bore electric house-rockin’ to low-down acoustic simmer, to the Portland Lobster Company deck tonight. The good times get rollin’ during this free and all-ages show at 6:30.

Enjoy an evening of acoustic blues, guitar rags and original compositions performed on both 6 and 12-string guitar as Frank Fotusky returns to Blue tonight for a show that’ll start up right around 6:30pm.

Another free and all ages show happens at Andy’s Old Port Pub as they welcome back local singer-songwriter Ronda Dale to the stage for an acoustic performance that will begin at 7pm.

Check out some tunes by Portland’s Brazilian choro ensemble, Choro Louco, as they play a show at Blue this evening. Choro Louco features local musicians Carl Dimow, Nicole Rabata, Joel Eckhaus, Eric LaPerna, and David Newsmam. Tonight’s performance begins at 8:30pm.

It’s going to get hot and heavy at Geno’s tonight with some face-melting doom, metal, and stoner rock revelry. Starting at 9 check out the thunderous sounds of Child Abuse, Golden Oriole, Clan of Dyad and Cuse Me.

Flask Lounge in Portland presents another open mic for DJs with their free dance party, which allows up and coming record spinners to take a chance and get up on the tables during the event. All you need to bring are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome as the party starts right around 9 o’clock, so check it out.

Check out a free show at Gritty’s tonight as roots rocker Travis James Humphrey plays a set starting up at 9.


Maine-based adult-contemporary, folk rock artist Don Campbell returns to Easy Day tonight for a free, all-ages show that will start at 6pm.

Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile returns to the Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland tonight for another open mic. All artists of different skill levels and genres are welcome as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 8.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.

Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
