Legendary Maine folk singer-songwriter David Mallett and his band will be performing as part of the First Universalist Church’s Concert for a Cause music series. A portion of tonight’s proceeds will benefit New Beginnings Outreach/Drop-In in Lewiston. Music will begin at the Church right around 7:30pm.
Don Hebert of The Veggies goes solo for a show at Fire House Grill tonight. Don will be bringing a show chock full of fun and danceable cover tunes to the stage as this free all ages shindig gets swinging at 8.

If you find yourself Fridaying up in the Central Maine area get on over to The Nocturnem Draft Haus in Bangor as they present another fine evening of jazz tunes and musical merriment with local act The Bill Barnes Trio. This free 21+ shindig gets swingin’ at 8 o’clock.
Waterville based pop-rock act Dance Yourself Clean will be performing upbeat, dance-oriented tunes from the 60’s through today at Sea Dog Brewing Company in Bangor. This free dance party gets going right around 9.
Tonight the Chocolate Church Arts Center welcomes local act Pretty Girls Sing Soprano to fill the space with some beautiful sounds. Since their inception Pretty Girls Sing Soprano have quickly turned heads with their tight, clever and original harmonies. You can check them out starting at 7:30 this evening.
Tonight Stone Mountain Arts Center will be filled with the vintage country sounds of the Sweetback Sisters as well as the solid country rock tunes of Girls, Guns and Glory. Tonight’s shindig gets swingin’ at 8pm.
The Tyler Healy Band will be rockin’ Ramona’s tonight with a mix of top 40 country covers as well as catchy, boot-stomping originals as this free show starts shakin’ right around 8 9:30.

Nick Racioppi of local rock-reggae act A Mighty Lion goes solo tonight for a free show happening at the Gritty’s in Freeport. Join Nick as the music starts right around 8.
Folk-rock cover act Rippleton Cross will be performing an acoustic stet at the School Street Pub this evening. Beginning at 8:30 the duo will be performing songs from such artists as Joe Jackson, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, Cat Stevens and many more.
Local act the Scolded Dogs return to Easy Street Lounge tonight with some tried and true party-rockin’ tunes. Beginning at 9 you can expect to hear some awesome originals as well as covers of such acts as Johnny Cash, Parliament, Snoop Dogg and many, many more.
Trains Tavern in Lebanon welcomes The Pat Foley Band tonight for some catchy country-rock. If you’re in the area tonight make some plans to drop by as the music starts up at 8.

Maine-based alt-rock act Now is Now will be playing a free show up at Sunday River. Tonight these fellas will be bringing the fun for a performance that’ll start up at 9 o’clock at the Matterhorn Ski Bar.

Roots rocker Travis James Humphrey returns to the Dogfish Bar & Grille tonight for another free solo set that’ll start up right around 5 o’clock this First Friday. If you’re Art Walking this evening, make some plans to stop on through.
Local bluegrass duo Darlin’ Corey returns to the stage of Blue this First Friday. Beginning at 6pm you can stop in and check out the pair’s delightful blend of vocal harmonies, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and guitars that are used to make up some truly unique bluegrass, old timey and folk sounds. This show is all ages and guaranteed to be a highlight of your weekend so head on down to Blue to check it out.
Local alternative folk act Northwood is back at Andy’s Old Port Pub this evening for some foot-stomping good times. Northwood starts making some noise right around 7 o’clock so make some plans to check ‘em out.
Tonight at St. Lawrence Arts you can check out A Celebration of Townes Van Zandt with Seth Warner and Mike Derosier on guitar, Duane Edwards on bass, and Marty Joyce on percussion and vocals as this group of talented, artists celebrate the songs of the late, great Texas songwriter Townes Van Zandt. Tonight’s performance begins at 7pm.
