Not that I am admitting defeat, but Monday’s been kicking my ass all day long. It seems that with each passing weekend, I become more and more adverse to the idea of acting my age and taking responsibility for my bad decisions, so much so that I get booted in the ass when Monday makes its way to town. Any who, here’s how this Monday evening is shaping up! Do it to it. Do not admit defeat! Get out there and enjoy tunes from Michael Krapovicky, Poor Howard, and more!
Slates Monday Night Music Series continues tonight with Boston-based award winning singer-songwriter Joel Cage. Once a member of the internationally acclaimed rock n’ roll group Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Joel has been performing regionally and nationally as a soloist for the past two decades. A virtuoso guitarist and an impassioned vocalist, Joel Cage’s music is both evocative and raucous. Check him out tonight in this unique and intimate venue as things get underway around 8:15pm.
Check out another Mothership Monday with Andrew Bailie & Crew down at Portland House of Music and Events tonight. Bailie and friends will be funkifying the start to your working week with some super fun jams as things get swinging at 9.
Put on your party pants and join the celebration as Primary Dance Party turns two tonight over at Flask Lounge. DJs Zimbra and DoomsdayJ will be spinning all your favorite New Wave, synth-pop and post-punk tunes as this free party begins at 9 o’clock.
