Lyle Divinsky & Friends pay tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire at Portland House of Music tonight

Please, I ask, do not judge me as I tell you all that I have become one with my sweat pants after yesterday’s monumental feast. I think right now might be the time for me and these sweats to part ways. (No worries, I will not continue this blog pantless.) I wanted to give those of you experiencing the same sweat pants dilemma some courage to swap out the sweats for your trusty Party Pants and kick this Friday into high gear. Tonight is anything but black although you might black out from the amount of excitement that tonight brings, but I think if you lay off the turkey, hang up the sweat pants, and maybe limit yourself to only two slices of pumpkin pie rather than eight, you too can rage some Party Pants and work off some of that gobble by busting a move tonight.  There are lots and lots of great things to check out, and since I spent the majority of yesterday in a pretty tripped out food coma, my brain is back to functioning at peak levels and I’m ready to bring you this evening’s Newz. Check it! Don’t miss parties such as Continental Shakedown at Gritty’s, Marshall Nelson Trio at Riverside Bar & Grille, Livingston Taylor at Camden Opera House, Nikki Hunt Band at Easy Street Lounge, The Ghosts of Johnson City at Blue, Pardon Me, Doug & The Maine Dead Project at Port City Music Hall, Hello Newman at Bull Feeney’s, Gorilla Finger Dub at Mainely Brews and more.
