Fat Knuckle Freddy is back at Blue this Friday evening. Freddy is a local composer, instrumentalist and a songwriter who plays and writes American Primitive Music on cigar box, resonator, Weissenborn, acoustic, and fretless guitars. Check out this fun night of music as things get started up right around 6 o’clock.
Eric Bettencourt is still playing around town and tonight he’ll be joining a few pals once again out on the deck of the Portland Lobster Company for some musical merriment. I anticipate lots of good times and good tunes as this free show starts up at 7pm.

Local piano-driven rock n’ roll act Kris Rodgers and The Dirty Gems will be partying at RiRa tonight. Known as “rock n’ roll’s secret weapon”, Kris ‘Fingers’ Rodgers has been a recording and touring sideman in such garage rock and power pop acts sd The Connection, Scott Sorry, The New Trocaderos, Bullet Proof Lovers, and Kurt Baker Band for years. Treat yourself to some sultry salsa tunes with a bit of a punk edge over at Blue tonight as salsacore act El Malo hits the stage starting at 10.
Brooklyn steamboat soul/roots revival act Roosevelt Dime brings the party up to Rangeley tonight as they play a show at Moose Alley. The fun starts right around 8:30 this finally Friday.
Moticon brings some rock, pop, alternative, and 80’s rock covers to Mixers tonight for a free party that’ll get underway right around 8:30pm this finally Friday.
Local folk-rock cover act Rippleton Cross will be at the Kerrymen Pub this evening. Beginning at 6 the duo will be performing acoustic renditions of songs by such artists as Joe Jackson, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, Cat Stevens and many, many more. This event is free so make some plans to check it out if you’re in the area this Friday.
Some seriously beautiful sounds will be happening tonight as local duo Jonathan Johnston and Elyse Wilkinson bring their soulful pop-rock songs to the Silver Street Tavern in Waterville for a show that’ll start up right around 8.
Banjo, guitar, fiddle and dobro player Carter Logan will be filling Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza with a bunch of wonderful sounds as he takes to the stage for an all-ages and free show that’ll get swinging right around 7 o’clock.
Get ready to have your face melted off and your ears blown out by The Last King, Objet, Weapons At Hand and Lethal Creed tonight as things get really loud and really awesome during this free rock show over at Live at 212. Music starts at 8.
And don’t forget that starting at 8:30 you can check out some tasty eats and equally tasty tunes at The Frog & Turtle on Main Street in Westbrook where Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies return to take over the joint with their own brand of unique and entertaining Americana and rockabilly.
