Fast Breaks in Lewiston welcomes back local singer-songwriter Ron Bergeron for a Tuesday night of tunes. Ron will be serving up tons of great songs starting at 6pm including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and maybe even a little Lady Gaga. If you’re in the area be sure to stop by and check out some good times and good tunes during this free and fun show.
Fat Knuckle Freddy is back at Blue this Tuesday evening. Freddy is a local composer, instrumentalist and a songwriter who plays and writes American Primitive Music on cigar box, resonator, Weissenborn, acoustic, and fretless guitars. Check out this fun night of of music as things get started up right around 7 o’clock.
Check out The Thirsty Pig’s monthly Open Mic event, The Exchange, this Tuesday. The Exchange is a gathering open to any and all artists looking to collaborate, showcase, and workshop their own original material in front of an audience of peers and music-lovers. All ages, genres and musical abilities are encouraged to join in on the fun as hosts Jim Betts and Joel Thetford get things swinging at 7:30.
Canada’s Sheepdogs will be bringing their blend of Southern boogie rock, groove-based psychedelia, and bluesy barroom swagger to the stage of Port City Music Hall tonight for an 18+ show. Music starts at 8 with opening sets from Brooklyn country rockers Mail the Horse and Providence blues rock act The Silks.
Local artist Clara Junken will be holding it down once again at Blue tonight. Starting at 9 Clara will be playing both her own material as well as few cover tunes during this fun musical gathering, so grab some friends, enjoy a delicious cocktail and let Junken serenade you into the evening hours.
Open at Flask Lounge presents their Spring Producer Showcase this evening featuring DJ sets from J.Hjort, C Money, Ed Garrison and Noremac with host Kid Ray. Lots of tunes to get your can shaking out on the dance floor as this free party gets swinging around 9pm.
Under The Influence kicks off May with classic soul, Motown, and some indie rock vibes tonight as OC and The Offbeats will be playing their brand of Bill Withers and Lake Street Dive tunes. There’ll be original songs and covers from both OC and The Offbeats and indie rock act Waco Sparkler. Things get underway at 9 and will feature renditions of songs by such artists Bill Withers, Buzzcocks, Lake Street Dive, The Magnetic Fields and more, so be sure to check it out this Tuesday evening.
Another place to show off your musical prowess is Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port where local musician Jacob McCurdy hosts this week’s Open Mic. If you’re a musician looking to play at local bars, you should sign up and show off your skills as you could actually book yourself a paying gig at Bull Feeney’s if you’ve got the right stuff, baby! Tonight’s open mic gets underway at 9:30 and is absolutely free, so get up there and strut your stuff on stage!
Check out another acoustic Open Mic at The Run of the Mill in Saco tonight where starting at 8 all musicians are welcome to join in on the fun during this free all-ages event.
