Over the past 20 years, Peter Mulvey has pursued a restless, Writer and musician Peter Mulvey will be bringing his Tin Pan Alley jazz, modern acoustic, poetry, narrative, and Americana stylings to Slates tonight. He has shared the stage with luminaries such as Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson, Ani diFranco, Indigo Girls, and Greg Brown. See him this evening as music begins right around 8:15pm.
Get the week started at Easy Street Lounge as jam band Hambone brings some musical merriment to your Monday with an open jam welcome to all. Starting at 9, check out Hambone’s soulful, energetic jams and even get up and play some tunes of your own.
If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this evening, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s as local pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky hosts another installment of his weekly acoustic open mic event. Tonight’s free shindig gets underway at 6:30 and is open to all musicians.
Local singer-songwriter, Connor Garvey will be bringing his beautiful blend of soul and folk out onto the deck of the Portland Lobster Company on Commercial Street this Monday evening for a free, all ages acoustic show. Check out this fun show as things get underway right around 6 o’clock.
Singer-songwriter Freddy Dame will be performing at Andy’s Old Port Pub this evening. Join Dame as this free and all ages show starts up at 7pm.
Quasi-jam band, Rusted Root comes to Port City Music Hall tonight with their eclectic, percussion-based world music styles. This 18+ shindig gets swinging at 8 o’clock.
Get after it tonight with Gina Alibrio and the Red Eye Flight Crew. Featuring most of the members of Model Airplane backing up talented songstress, Gina Alibrio, you’re guaranteed to have a soulfully good time as things start up right around 9 at Portland House of Music and Events.
Aside from here on this blog, she can be found around town taking in local shows, performing with any variety of musical acts (basically anyone who will give her a microphone and a tambourine), and talking up local music on WCSH 6 on Friday mornings around 6:20am. She is also the Promotions Director for WFNK, WTHT and WHXR in Portland as well as an On Air Personality at 107.5 Frank FM.
