Port City Music Hall welcomes All That Remains, Crisis A.D. & Cover One Eye tonight

It’s only the beginning of the week and I already have Friday on my mind. I think it’s best if we just choose to disregard the fact that it is Monday and move towards more fun and upbeat things such as the shows that’ll certainly help you blow away those Monday blues. Let’s just suck it up and have some fun tonight as we attempt to show Monday who is boss. Check out some tunes from Gina & The Red Eye Flight Crew at Portland House of Music, The Proftones at Portland Lobster Company, Open Mic with Michael Krapovicky at Pedro O’Hara’s, Accidental Seabirds at Andy’s Old Port Pub and more.

If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this Monday, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s where local pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky will be hosting another installment of his weekly acoustic Open Mic event. Tonight’s free event gets underway at 6:30 and is open to all, so grab an instrument and get ready to make some music and new friends tonight!

Let some sea breezes blow your Monday blues away out on the deck of Portland Lobster Company as The ProfTones play some great blues, R&B, and rock hits at tonight’s free show. The joint starts jumpin’ right around 6 so be sure to stop on by if you’re in downtown Portland tonight.

New Jersey based indie folk act Accidental Seabirds will be playing a set at Andy’s Old Port Pub this Monday evening. Check out some of their original sounds as this free show starts at 7pm.

St. Lawrence Arts presents their next installment of their Monday Night Jazz Series with a performance featuring Kate Campbell Strauss & Friends. The act plays jazz and blues with a soulful flair and features Kate Campbell Strauss on saxophone, Bess Berg on piano, Scott Morrison on bass, and Per Hanson on drums. This evening’s performance begins at 7pm.

New England’s own metalcore band All That Remains will be making some noise during an 18+ show at Port City Music Hall tonight. Local heavy hitters Crisis A.D. and Cover One Eye will get things going with opening sets starting up at 8pm.

Otto’s lower Congress Street location presents another Monday filled with fine bluegrass and delicious pizza. Local bluegrass picker Joe Walsh will be joined by Lincoln Meyers, Steve Roy, and Lukas Pool for an evening chock full of musical merriment. Tap your toes and have some fun as this free show starts up at 8:30pm.

Funky Mondays are THE place to get down with Gina Alibrio and the Red Eye Flight Crew. Featuring most of the members of Model Airplane backing up this talented vocalist, you’re guaranteed to have a wicked good time boogie-ing down to some soulful tunes as things get started at 9 over at Portland House of Music and Events.

Monday of the Minds: A Night of Introspective Hip Hop returns to Flask Lounge tonight. Check out sets from Pockets, Words Of Phrase, Thoughts In Motion, and Peace Out Pat. There’ll also be a cypher for any emcees who want to get up and freestyle so be sure to stop through and check out this free show as things get started up at 9.

Check out some entertaining Open Mic action at the Kerrymen Pub in Saco where beginning at 7:30 both solo musicians and full bands are welcome to take to the stage and do their thing. Tonight’s event is free and guaranteed to be a fun way to spend your Monday so swing through if you’re in the area.
