Port City Music Hall welcomes Doyle Bramhall II tonight


Doing it to it is the only way I can really describe how I’m getting through this Tuesday. If you’re chugging right along as well and looking to let off a little steam tonight there are few places to do so. Here’s the rundown of what’s the what this Tuesday including The Mallett Brothers Band at Portland House of Music, The Dirty Heads, Beat Fun & RDGLDGRN at the State Theatre, Ryan Halliburton and The Still at Portland Lobster Company, RUSSELL at Blue and more.


Bourbon, BBQ and boot stomping. Sounds pretty good for a Tuesday night, right? Jim Beam presents Bourbon and BBQ with The Mallett Brothers Band over at Portland House of Music and Events. Join these alt-country rock n’ rollers for a free show that’ll start up at 5:30pm.

Get your Tuesday evening underway with another free show happening out on the deck of the Portland Lobster Company as Ryan Halliburton and The Still perform some pop-rock tunes starting at 6pm.

Acoustic rock act Jeremy Porter & The Tucos will be playing at Andy’s Old Port Pub tonight. Join the band as things get underway during this free all ages show right around 7.

Russell, a new act out of Portland that takes compositions from jazz and other musical genres on a live musical journey, will be playing some original songs as well as some tunes from Sonny Sharrock’s song collection are at Blue on Congress Street tonight. Join the band a they take to the stage right around 8 o’clock this Tuesday.

Port City Music Hall welcomes musician, producer, guitarist and songwriter Doyle Bramhall II to the stage this evening. Bramhall II is the son of, Doyle Bramhall, Sr., who played drums for legendary bluesmen Lightnin’ Hopkins and Freddie King and was a lifelong collaborator with childhood friends Stevie Ray Vaughan. Bramhall II is known for his work with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Susan Tedeschi, Sheryl Crowe and many others. Check him out as things get underway at 8pm tonight. 

Reggae rock-infused, hip hop heavy, always energetic band, The Dirty Heads return to the stage of the State Theatre for a full blown party alongside Beat Fun and RDGLDGRN for an all ages show that gets shakin’ right around 8 o’clock tonight.

Another Open DJ Night is happening again at Flask Lounge.  Starting at 9, you can sign up for a slot DJing on some open tables and all you need to bring are some records, CDs, and a pair of headphones! This event is absolutely free and always a good time, so go on and check it out.


Uke n’ Smile is hosting another Open Mic at Sea Dog Brewing Company this Tuesday. Starting at 8 any and all musicians are welcome to play some tunes, or if you can’t actually play an instrument, you can sing with the fellas in Uke n’ Smile as they play the music for you. It’s free, fun, and yummy drinks and food are available as well so if you’re in the area tonight be sure to stop by and check things out.

Holly “The Nunz” Nunan is a musician from Portland, Maine with an unabashed love for the city as well as its thriving Maine music scene. This is her scene report.
