We are slowly but surely easing our way into the freakin’ weekend! It definitely been one helluva week and I’m ready to once again hoist up the ol’ Party Pants and get on down this evening. If you’re feeling the same Thursday night scenario I’m putting down, then here are where the haps are at tonight. Do it to it at such shows as Michael Krapovicky at Bueno Loco Restaurante, Mipso & Lula Wiles at One Longfellow Square, The Casco Bay Tummlers at Blue, Roots, Rhythm & Dub & Crushed By Amps at Empire, Don Campbell at The Kerrymen Pub, Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies at RiRa, and more!
Local folk-rocker Brian Patricks returns to The Daniel Coast Bar + Bistro this Thursday evening. Patricks intertwines finger-style, rhythmic guitar with a hint of harmonica into his sets of originals and covers that span the folk, blues, roots and rock genres. Check out this free all ages show as things begin at 6 o’clock.
Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile is back at the Local Buzz tonight for another free and all ages open mic event. All artists of different genres, musical capabilities, and ages are welcome to join in on the creative fun as the music making gets underway at 7:30pm.
Serenades with Sa Rah continue at Easy Street Lounge tonight so be sure to grab a cozy seat, enjoy a delicious cocktail, and get ready to hear some lovely acoustic tunes courtesy of this local songstress as this free show starts at 9.
Local artist Jim Gallant brings a mix of Americana, blues, folk, bluegrass and rockabilly to Andy’s Old Port Pub tonight. Join him for a free evening of music as this all ages show starts at 7 o’clock.
Tonight you can catch Chapel Hill, North Carolina based string band Mipso at One Longfellow Square as the act brings their folky Americana tunes to life during a headlining set. Things will kick off at 8 o’clock with the folk, roots and Americana songs of Lula Wiles.
Roots, Rhythm & Dub will be at Empire tonight for some high-energy reggae and dub that is certain to super charge your Thursday. Things kick-off upstairs with the bluesy, punk-tinged, gritty rock and roll sounds of Crushed By Amps as they take the stage for an opening set right around 8.
Soulful jazz artist Viva will be bringing her vivacious vocals back to Sonny’s for a Thursday night filled with funk, jazz, Latin, and soul songs that are done with a fun and modern twist alongside her talented band, The Reinforcements. Show this Thirsty Thursday what you’ve got as things get underway right around 8 o’clock.
Starting at 9 you can check out Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies take over the joint at RiRa with their own brand of twisted Americana and rockabilly jams. These fellas bring the fun as the party starts up at 9 o’clock.
If you’re looking for some sultry salsa tunes with a bit of a pun edge then make some plans to head to Portland House of Music as local salsacore band El Malo hits the stage with some special guests starting at 9 o’clock tonight.
The Railway Café in Richmond welcomes Ron Bergeron for a night of tunes. Ron will be serving up tons of great songs starting at 7pm including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and maybe even a little Lady Gaga. If you’re in the area be sure to stop by and check out some good times and good tunes during this free and fun show.
