Hello, beautiful babies! I’m not even going to try to act cool right now because I can’t – seriously, I’m pitting out – so I’ll just come out with it and say that I’ve not a lot of introductory formalities for today’s blog as I’m basically trying not to scream/cry through this day as I get ready to see back-to-back Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers shows. If you know me, you know that Thomas Earl Petty is my rock n’ roll spirit animal and that seeing him (and the HBers) perform live is a holy experience. I drained my bank account months ago to make sure I could attend both 40th anniversary shows in Boston today and again tomorrow, so even though I am poor, I am very, very happy. All that being said I won’t be around to check out of the hip happenings going on tonight so I’m hoping that you’ll all dutifully pull up your Party Pants and get to it tonight at such shindigs as Girls, Guns and Glory at the Boothbay Opera House, Josh Hatfield at 84 Court Pizza & Restaurant, Muddy Ruckus at Darrow’s Barn, Double Entendre at Sea40, Seth Warner & band at The Robinhood Free Meetinghouse, The Joint Chiefs at Portland Lobster Company, Northwood at Blue, The Depths at Oasis, Don Campbell at Easy Day, Anni Clark at Lenny’s at Hawkes Plaza and so very much more!
