Oh my, I have I had my Private Eyes focused on tonight’s show at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion for what seems an eternity and this evening I do believe that a couple of fellas (and some other awesome bands) are going to make my dreams come true! I am more than excited to check out legendary act Hall & Oates alongside the also ever-awesome Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings AND Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. That’s a stacked bill right there that is guaranteed to make chicks who aren’t even named Sara Smile. I promise you don’t have to be a Rich Girl to check out this show as tickets are still available. Things start at 7 o’clock and you’ll know I am there by the many, many fake mustaches I’ll be distributing to other John Oates ’stache appreciators.
Local acoustic act Uke n’ Smile is hosting another Open Mic at the Local Buzz tonight. Starting at 7 musicians are welcome to play some tunes, or if you can’t play an instrument yourself you can sing with the fellas in Uke n’ Smile as they play the music for you. It’s free, fun, and yummy drinks and food are available as well, so if you’re in the area tonight, be sure to stop by and check things out.
Local siren Sa Rah brings her evening of serenades back to the Easy Street Lounge this Thursday. Get cozy, grab yourself a delicious cocktail, and enjoy some fine acoustic tunes as things get started up at 9:30.

Kick up your heels with some locally grown music at Blue this Thursday evening as Matt Meyer and The Gumption Junction return for a show that gets underway at 6pm. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and 2015 Maine Songwriters’ Association songwriting contest winner, Jenny Van West will be bringing her roots country, blues and gospel tunes to the Eastern Prom tonight for a free all ages show at the Ft. Allen Bandstand. Jenny will be joined by musical confidant Ed DesJardins as they bring you songs reminiscent of such artists as Alison Krauss and Emmy Lou Harris.
