Uke n’ Smile is hosting another Open Mic at the Local Buzz this Thursday. Starting at 8 any and all musicians are welcome to play some tunes, or if you can’t actually play an instrument, you can sing with the fellas in Uke n’ Smile as they play the music for you. It’s free, fun, and yummy drinks and food are available as well so if you’re in the area tonight be sure to stop by and check things out.
Maine-based musician Sa Rah brings an evening of serenades back to the Easy Street Lounge in Hallowell tonight. Make some plans to get cozy and enjoy her acoustic set of songs as this free show begins at 9pm.

Pop-rock and roller Alex Roy will be performing a set of original tunes and cover songs at Jimmy The Greek’s this Thirsty Thursday. Tonight’s event is free and sure to be a good time so swing through if you’re in the area as the music starts up at 8.
Radio Revival returns to The Pier Patio Pub tonight with tons of songs for you to groove to including covers of Queen, Billy Squier, Bowie, Tom Petty, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, The Strokes, Thin Lizzy, Weezer and more. This free show gets rockin’ and rollin’ at 9pm.
Two of my favorite Portland players (and people) will be joining musical forces once again this evening for a Happy Hour set out on the patio of Portland House of Music. Starting around 4 make some plans to stop on by and check out local siren Renee Coolbrith and Portland piano man Kris Rodgers as the pair serenade you with some seriously sweet sounds during this free and all ages show.

Boston-based Beatles tribute band, Studio Two, will be taking you back to the early 60’s, a time when The Fab Four were truly taking the world by storm, as these talented lads return to the outside stage of The Porthole for a free show. Join these fab fellas for some serious nostalgia as the music starts at 6 pm.
Local musician Mike Maurice returns to Salvage BBQ tonight for some honky tonk piano. Mike will be serving up a classic variety of twangy hits as well as some ragtime tunes and improve music. Check out this free, all ages shindig and enjoy some tasty BBQ as things start up around 6pm.
Portland psychedelic folk-rocker Dominic Lavoie and a couple of his friends come together tonight to play some tunes as Keanu Keanu out on the deck of Portland Lobster Company. Check out some free jams of both originals and covers as this all ages (and FREE!) shindig gets swinging right around 6:30pm.
Maine’s own professional Klezmer band, The Casco Bay Tummlers are back at Blue tonight for some Traditional Eastern European Jewish music. Tonight’s event begins at 7pm.
Vivacious jazz singer Viva is back at Sonny’s this Thursday evening. Check out a free party filled with funk, jazz standards, soul songs and Latin tunes that are performed by Viva and her talented band, The Reinforcements, with a fun and modern twist. This free show starts up at 8pm.
The Work Trucks will be making some noise during a free, all-ages show out on the Slab patio tonight. With a blend of rockabilly, country, old-time rock and roll, Americana, and roots rock, the act is guaranteed to please as they get the party started right around 7pm.
Local electro-pop rock act Dean Ford & The Keepsakes will be rockin’ the Oasis patio once again tonight. This evening’s show is free and is guaranteed to be chock full of pulsating beats, infections hooks, screaming synths, shredding guitar, and soaring singalongs as things get swinging at 9.
Alt-folk act Northwood return to Blue on Congress Street for another Thursday night filled with foot-stomping good times that will get rollin’ right around 9 o’clock.
The super fun fellas in local act Kilcollins will be doing it to it over at RiRa on Commercial Street this Thirsty Thursday. Starting at 9, the boys will be rockin’ you with all sorts of tunes that you know and love alongside a handful of catchy original jams for good measure. It’s free, fun and I would say guaranteed to be a good time, so check it out if you’re downtown this evening.
