Tall Horse, Whaler & The Mellowells play at Hella Good Tacos tonight

Maybe it’s a little early to already be counting down the days, but the truth is that we are, in fact, one day closer to Friday…and therefore one day closer to the freakin’ weekend, babies! Tonight’s shaping up to be seriously fun, so let’s give ol’ Tuesday a look-see, shall we? Lots to check out including Ryan Halliburton and The Still at Portland Lobster Company, Lyle Divinsky at Portland House of Music, Ben Kilcollins at The Porthole, Class Reunion at Empire, Open Mic with Uke n’ Smile at Sea Dog Brewing Company and more. Here we go!

Pop-rock and rollers Alex Roy and Matt Libby will be performing a set of original tunes and cover songs at Champions tonight. This event is free and sure to be fun so swing through if you’re in the area this Tuesday as the music starts up at 9 o’clock.

Self-proclaimed Sasquatch of Soul, Lyle Divinsky, returns to do his thing out on the patio of Portland House of Music and Events this evening. Beginning at 4 Lyle and a couple of pals will be laying down some seriously smooth funk, soul, and R&B jams during this free, all-ages show.

Ben Kilcollins will be hanging out at The Porthole tonight for some acoustic singer-songwriter action. You know Ben from his time spent pop-rockin’ with his band Kilcollins, but this evening he goes solo and acoustic with some guitar-based tunes starting right around 6 out on the deck.

Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up for an evening of stories and song during an In The Round event at Blue tonight. Starting at 6 Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis converge on stage for a show featuring their original roots, Americana, and folk compositions.

Take Tuesday to the limit with some free music over at the Portland Lobster Company as Ryan Halliburton and The Still return to the deck with some fun pop-rock for a free all-ages show that’ll start up at 6:30.

Blue welcomes back the Kelly Laurence Quartet to the stage for an evening of Frank Sinatra tunes. Tonight’s show starts up at 8.

Flask Lounge hosts another Open Mic for DJs with a free dance party that encourages up and coming record spinners and producers to take a chance and get up on the tables during this fun event. All you need to bring are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome. Tonight’s DJ open mic begins at 9pm.

Local 90’s cover band Ice Cold Zima will be rockin’ their regular Tuesday night gig at Portland House of Music and Events. Time travel back a couple decades with some cover tunes of No Doubt, Fiona Apple, The Cardigans, 4 Non Blondes, Green Day, Lauryn Hill, Bonnie Raitt, Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis Morissette, and more as things get jumpin’ right around 9.

A pretty sweet indie rock and roll show will be happening over at Hella Good Tacos tonight. Join Portland act Tall Horse alongside Pennsylvania bands Whaler and The Mellowells for some good times, good tunes, and good tacos as things get started up and underway right around 9 o’clock.

Empire’s summer music series Rhythm & Tues rolls on tonight with house band Class Reunion. The band features a ton of talented local players performing a bunch of fun throwback funk, blues, and R&B covers so bust out those Party Jorts and get down upstairs starting at 9 o’clock.

Show off your musical prowess at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight as local musician Jacob McCurdy returns to host this week’s Open Mic. If you’re a musician looking to play out at local bars, you should sign up and show off your skills as you could actually book yourself a paying gig at Bull Feeney’s — if you’ve got the right stuff, baby! Tonight’s open mic gets underway at 9:30 and is absolutely free, so get up there and strut your stuff on stage.

Acoustic act Uke n’ Smile returns to Sea Dog Brewing Company in South Portland for another Open Mic this Tuesday evening. All artists of different skills and genres are welcome as this free, creative gathering gets underway at 8.
