Get the week started with with one heck of a party at Easy Street Lounge as epic jam band Hambone brings some musical merriment to your Monday with an open jam welcome to all. Starting at 9 check out Hambone’s soulful, energetic jams and even sit and play some of your own.
Get funky with The Blues Mafia as they heat things up out on the deck of the Portland Lobster Company this Labor Day. Starting at 12:30pm you can take in a free, all ages show chock full of the blues and more with this high-energy, local quintet.
If you don’t have any plans for Labor Day, you should consider taking the ferry across Casco Bay to Peaks Island for the 5th Annual Shipyard Summer Ender Bender and Pig Roast at the Inn on Peaks. Entrance to this shindig is free and will feature tons of great food and brews, as well as live, local music all afternoon. Things get underway at 1 o’clock this with a solo set from Americana roots rockers the Jason Spooner Band. Not only will you have some good times, you’ll also be doing good as all proceeds from the day go to The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing.
Portland pop-rockers, the Pete Kilpatrick Band will be bringing their live act to the deck of Portland Lobster Company tonight. Enjoy some fresh air, cold drinks and good tunes with the fellas they get started up at 5:30pm.
Get after it tonight with another Funky Monday with Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew. The band, which is basically most of the members of Model Airplane, back up talented songstress Gina Alibrio for some funk, soul and R&B jams that are guaranteed to get the good times get rollin’. Make the most of this Monday with some music therapy as things start up around 9 down at Portland House of Music and Events.
